6'8" 350lbs? Daaaaamn, that's a mountain of a man.
And he ran a 5.05 40...
Reminds me of Aaron Gibson.
That's not a reassuring comparison.
At least he wasn't a first-rounder!
biggest dude i ever played with was 6' 10", 390, and very mobile for a guy that size. unfortunately (and in violation of the laws of the universe) he hadn't played much football until he was with us. he was solid, but man, if he'd have picked the game up as a youngin', katie bar the door.
British Columbia... you don't see that too often.
Oh CANADA!
Gird your loins, NFL North rivals, we got us a HUGE offensive tackle.
Looks drafted a mountain of clay for Hank Fraley to mould.
Looks drafted a mountain of clay for Hank Fraley to mould.
We know that this Lions management team seriously knows what they are doing, but this choice gives me flashbacks to Lynn Boden.
It looks like it gave Sal immediate flashbacks.
Except this is a 4th rounder, not a first as Boden was.
The draft is a crapshoot. Especially so at this stage. Going with a hyper athletic project to replace Decker is an acceptable risk.
Boden was 6'-3"/270, which is a mountain away from the guy they just got.
Most Lions fans give Brad Holmes the benefit of the doubt, and he's done well with his early round picks, but his later round picks have been a mixed bag, at best. I've never been a fan of trading future picks for lower picks in the current year. Well run organizations typically don't do that.
Trying to find the next Jordan Mailata.
Lions pick is another patented, “trust Brad Holmes” pick. Giving up a future 3rd rounder for a late 4th rounder from British Columbia? Trust Brad Holmes.

Wow, this is some DEEP shit right here. I'm going to have the printed on a bumper sticker.
PROFOUND.
I love GM Brad Holmes and Coach Dan Campbell, the Lions countering the moves of the Vikings and Packrats by finding ANOTHER extra pick.
Up next...
Lions pick a safety (slash) running back. Lions scouting dug up an athletic gem maybe?
Special teams guy?
Former Lion Godwin Igwebuike had a similar background as a S/RB.
It felt like Godwin and Jake Butt were both on the field for every down at Pickerington North.

George Costanza likes the Giovanni Manu pick. You know, it's, it's 'new,' which is good. And a 'ma' in front of it. MA-NU. When you consider the other choices, 'Manu' is actually pretty refreshing.
EVERTON SCORES! Toffees 1 - Brentford 0.
The fight to avoid relegation continues. The boys neeeeed this win though.
Clarence, this is a Wendy’s.
EVERTON WINS! Everton avoids relegation. Everton is a Prem team again next season! Dyche gets a lot of crap, but this team faced A LOT this season: the points deduction, the 777 takeover disaster, maybe ANOTHER point deduction looming. So this does feel good. The deck was stacked against them. Obviously beating Liverpool in the Merseyside derby was huge. Oh, and I'll have a Baconator and a large fries...
Harbaugh has a couple picks coming up. I'm actually invested in how the chargers do over the next few years.
Hopefully Holmes is banking on some compensatory picks cause giving up future 3rd and 4th rounders this late in the draft is irresponsible.
They are expecting a compensatory 3rd from Jackson.
So 2025 will be Lions 1st, Lions 2nd, Compensatory 3rd, Lions 4th, Lions 5th, Tampa 6th, Lions 7th, Dallas 7th, Jets 7th.
9 picks, with one each in every round isn’t bad. Seems about average.
They traded away their own 3rd for Manu, the eagles 4th back to them for Vaki, and their 6th for DPJ.
Maybe irresponsible if in charge of a team that's in the early stages of rebuilding. But with Detroit's early stages of rebuilding being (checks calendar) 6 decades long and now finally in contention, I'm 100% in the Holmes/Campbell/Sheila Ford Hamp camp.
Yes, how irresponsible to go from SOL to nearly making the Super Bowl.
Brad Holmes is way ahead of any reasonable expectation.
Tommy Two Thumbs is a Raider.
Hopefully he doesn't develop a gambling problem, or that might be a more permanent-type situation.
Who's got Two Thumbs and Three L's to Michigan?
Tommy Eichenberg is just happy that he doesn't have to get embarrassed by Donovan Edwards again...at least till the 2025-26 season.
Getting 8 guys picked is great, but I don't think we're gonna tie the record.
Prediction: Spencer Rattler will have a better pro career than Penix and Nix...combined. Penixnix will bust.
Penix will bust? Prematurely?
I have a hard time betting against guys that took their lumps and persevered.
Hey, I have nothing against any of them personally.
Nothing funny about a lumpy Penix. Get your Penix checked regularly.
It'd be great if we didn't have the hate. I'd rather proliferate.
Jeremiah Trotter following his dad to Philly is cool as hell.
It'd be cooler if it wasn't Philly.
100 picks left. 7 Wolverines in ESPN's best 88 available.
Jalen Harrell #55. Trevor Keegan #88.
So that would put us at 15? Tie?
The Carolina Panthers have more fans in Munich than they do in America!
Did he just say "fabulous Washington defense"?!
I have 200 first quarter rushing yards that say otherwise.
