Great crowd at Crisler tonight! Shout out to Maize Rage, families with kids in tow, and everyone else that hooted and hollered from the opening tip to final buzzer. Naz is the foundation, but credit too to Leigha Brown, Emily Kiser, Maddie Nolan, and Danielle Rauch whose experience and grit muscled their way into the Sweet 16. Go Blue!
Michigan WBB and Coach KBA showed they can compete with top teams in the nation. Great game and terrific season, despite extraordinary challenge of playing key stretches without veteran point guard Amy Dilk and #2 scorer Leigha Brown, plus athletic department shutdown. Congratulations!
Terrific win! I too feared Tennessee based on their storied history, but I was not impressed by their team play. Again today, Michigan was the better-coached team. We faced tougher competition in Big Ten play. On to the Sweet 16!
Hats off to Seth for putting together a fun night for a great cause! Holly was hilarious, including observation that Bacon happened to sit behind Harbaugh in Algebra class, and turned it into a career. Brian had a great schtick about Bacon’s precocious articulate 2 year old, who pleaded nightly with his Dad to read children’s books, not yet another chapter about Halifax fire or RichRod. Night was a great mix of inside humor from local heroes and sharp wit from pro comedians. Thank you!
My understanding is that, once exposed, it typically takes ~5 days for the virus to replicate to levels sufficient for transmission to another person. So while Stefanovic may have passed the virus to his teammates early this week, it's less likely Boilermakers on the court tonight would be carrying a viral load heavy enough to spread it to our Wolverines.
