In the era of the transfer portal, IMO it’s better to burn a redshirt to prevent a possible transfer. I doubt many players will stick around to see their 5th years - would be awesome if someone could do some data there
I'm disappointed they don't get to go to the UP - the UP in the summer is one of the best places in the whole country to visit imo, there's such great natural beauty
From what I've heard, Michigan didn't view Williams as a take after an injury. I think it's obvious that we could have gotten him if we wanted him, since he's from West Bloomfield and we have Bellamy on staff
DL Deone Walker moved up to top-200 (#197) and is now the #3 recruit in Michigan. He is notably ranked exactly 1 spot above former Michigan commit, and current MSU commit, Alex VanSumeran.
OL Josh Conerly Jr. picked up his 5th star (to 247) and moved to top 10 overall, and the #1 OT in the country.
EDIT: Saw that other people have commented this. Oops
The single biggest factor for excitement is the Vegas line. A game with a 23-point favorite will almost always be less excitement than a game with only a 7-point favorite.
Of course LSU-Florida was a super cool game to watch last year, but not many people really predicted that to happen
Thanks! It's just a passion project I shared with a few friends, and thought some people would be interested here too.
I use three factors: How close the game is predicted to be, how good the teams are, and how much offense is expected. In past years I used computer rankings like SP+ for most of the inputs, but since that is under a paywall now I had to be a little more creative and used Sagarin and ESPN FPI.
I also use Vegas lines and Over/Under numbers since those are generally pretty accurate too
Dickinson's HS highlights showed him making at least a few 3's. Currently with his efficiency in the post both scoring and rebounding, there's not too much reason to shoot the 3 that much. I think seeing him doing a pick and pop 3 when the defense expects a roll would be fantastic though
Rumors flying around that Michigan was his first choice, but he couldn't academically qualify. Then he was interested in OSU, but he couldn't academically qualify there either. That's why he's suddenly so interested in Ole Miss (also Partridge is great at recruiting NJ)
Just picked up golf this year around Memorial Day. I bought the Wilson XD Linear golf set, including:
Driver, 3 Wood, 4 Hybrid, 5-PW, and a putter. I bought a used Callaway MD4 56 degree wedge last week and it really is fantastic. Now it doesn't feel like my bag is missing anything too important.
I've only played 18 holes once, shot a 130. Once I get more rounds and more practice in, I can think about upgrading / buying clubs that cost more than my whole bag combined
Also people in certain colleges pay more - for example Engineering students pay more than LSA students, in addition to the tuition increase after getting lots of credits
My friend Jake is their drummer. We were at UMich together before he graduated to move in with the rest of the band. Always cool to see them getting love in a bunch of places!

How do people get these grades normally? Do they have a paid subscription to PFF?

I doubt it will be - it might even be too cold at nighttime in mid-november
DL Deone…

Hey that's a cool website! Unfortunately I don't ever watch on actual TV networks, but I'll look into adding those to the page

Coaches aren't allowed to talk about kids they're recruiting until they sign with the program. Harbaugh mentioned this on Jansen's podcast
What on Earth is "TSDSPAJEAFTMWHBLY"?
Lots of Oklahoma fans wanted to hire Moore, especially given his ties to the program. Super excited that we get him back.
According to Makari Paige, Bellamy runs the same defense at West Bloomfield HS as Don Brown. So I imagine he's a defensive coach then.
Also according to NCAA rules if we add Bellamy to staff, it must be an on-field role, not part of an endless army of analysts.
Harbaugh was the best coaching candidate available period. All NFL and college teams who had a vacancy wanted him
Asking for a friend, is this list posted somewhere?
Did anyone else notice that Livers took about 6 steps without dribbling before his first pick-six dunk?

And LSU too! Remember last season?
That was an "investigate the refs to see if they're gambling on this game" kind of call
I think Seldon would have seen the field by now, but there's lots of rumors that he's injured. Couldn't find an official source though
Michigan's roster lists 7 QBs (not including McCaffrey). We would probably play #18 Max Wittwer (Junior, ranked ~3300 in composite)
I think Illinois is in the West, not the East.
Also Maryland looked much worse than Michigan State did unfortunately
Lots of people are saying that these kids have had their scholarship offers pulled

Basketball recruiting has been great the past 2-3 weeks, picking up 2 commits and likely getting one later this week. That's on fire to me!
