I always thought that moment…

double comment woops

I always thought that moment…

I always thought that moment was funny. From an unbiased perspective, Roman very clearly instigated it and dragged it on a little bit longer than it needed to. Probably should have been an unsportsmanlike on both teams, but they only called it on Brown, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Lol, I love this team as…

Lol, I love this team as much anybody else, but he would be, at the bare minimum, our second starting safety next year. Easily better than all of those guys except maybe Moore.

That game has the most…

That game has the most underrated play in the entire Harbaugh era (and possibly in the entirety of Michigan's football history): the Brad Hawkins fumble and recovery. He doesn't do that, they probably lose that game. They could not stop Nebraska to save their lives during that second half.

Some speculation, but if they lose that game, the season is probably another disappointment where if just a couple things went their way, they could have been in the CFP, a la 2016.

To be fair, if you had to…

To be fair, if you had to rank every college football player on how fair it was for them to wear Louis Vuitton cleats, Marv would probably be at the top.

I think the conference…

I think the conference playoff is the more likely scenario. The concept of split conference/national championships is a thing of the past that I don't think people really willingly want to go back to.

It's a frustrating endeavor…

It's a frustrating endeavor as a fan. On one hand, you'd like to see them getting a surplus of high 4 and 5 star guys. At the same time, you look at A&M or Miami and realize that even with all the talent in the world, if the chemistry, coaching, or culture isn't there, then it's all for nothing.

I actually played baseball…

I actually played baseball with him for like a tournament or two in the same area. He appears to be a much better QB than he was a catcher lol

Has he entered the portal?

Has he entered the portal?

I'm with you. Lots of…

I'm with you. Lots of potential and natural talent, but his IQ just isn't there. The other thing that I notice with him is how awful he is at breaking tackles. I go to U of M; I've seen Donovan Edwards in person. The man is legitimately one of the biggest dudes on the team and probably has the most muscle mass of anyone at a skill position. But holy shit, you lay a finger on him and he's going down without much of a fight.

Genuine question: is that a…

Genuine question: is that a somewhat new thing? I'm fairly young but I remember them pretty much always showing the replay for controversial calls up until just a couple of years ago. Now, unless it's the 4th quarter, it seems like we usually just come back to the result of the call being put into effect.

Milroe is an interesting guy…

Milroe is an interesting guy to scheme up against. Dude is a checkdown merchant but has a nice deep ball. His medium yard throws are where he struggles mightily. If he's on and is hitting those, it will be a long game in which we can do nothing but tip our cap to him. I think we'll be able to stop the run fine. OSU had a much better rushing attack in their first 11 games with an elite back and we completely stuffed them sans one drive.

You're right that they said…

You're right that they said that, but this is nowhere near the same Michigan team as 2019 either. That 2019 team had a lousy offense and was led by Don Brown on defense.

Graham is a DT.

Graham is a DT.

JTT on OSU somehow gets…

JTT on OSU somehow gets first team after not doing a damn thing against us, but Grant somehow isn't first team and Graham only got first team coaches. Joke.

The first image you posted…

The first image you posted still has the funniest comment I've seen on MGoBlog. "It looks like a fucking constellation" on the FFF in 2021.

Someone already confirmed it…

Someone already confirmed it but I've actually met the guy and have a couple mutual friends with him. It's Declan Byle.

Talked to a guy on the hockey team at Skeeps about a month ago and he told me that if Anaheim ended up with #2, he'd end up going. He was tipsy so who knows.

No Surprises by Radiohead…

No Surprises by Radiohead has always been there for me in my darkest moments. First song I ever cried to.

And it's not even close.

And it's not even close.

Was literally going to…

Was literally going to comment this. 15 yard DPI is fine, but being down by contact needs to be implemented.

Your details point also…

Your details point also shows why this team is so frustrating. He’s a big game coach. His teams have typically held their own pretty well against better teams, minus a few clunkers (which is expected for any team). It doesn’t make sense why we can barely lose to an excellent Virginia team, but not beat Central. It’s a lack of attention to detail, specifically against worse teams. Minus the 2020-21 team, who dominated seemingly everybody, this is a common theme.

The team doesn’t make the…

The team doesn’t make the tournament last year if their name isn’t Michigan and is literally a non-miraclulous performance from Frankie Collins away from being eliminated by Colorado State in the first round last year.

His 2020-21 team? Absolutely phenomenal but they did slouch a little bit at the end of the regular seasons. The same thing occurred with his 2019 and 2021 teams. They don’t seem to get red hot at the end of the year like people say they do.

After causing me to curse…

After causing me to curse him out just a few minutes before. Was happy he got to make up for it.

Currently living in a dorm at U of M - Ann Arbor; don't think they are serving it anymore as I have not seen it once at Markley, or any of the other dining halls I've eaten at.

Agreed. I don't think people…

Agreed. I don't think people realize how thin our DB depth chart is lol. Mike coming back next year is obviously huge because of how good of a player he's become, but it's also huge in the fact that there is virtually nobody with any sort of experience capable of replacing him.

Somebody tell me why this is…

Somebody tell me why this is a bad idea before it gets engrained into my head...

Agreed. I was at the game…

Agreed. I was at the game and even though his shot wasn't falling, his driving ability actually looks pretty good. He takes the ball up strong and seems to not completely avoid contact.

Someone else at the game said it, but he looks like he is a step away from being a pretty solid player. Hopefully he can take that jump by the end of this year.

Finally someone said it. Pre…

Finally someone said it. Pre-injury Speight was that guy. The end of that 2016 season caused everyone to rewrite his time here.

What game did USC do this?…

What game did USC do this? Interested in seeing what you are referring to.

First ever double post! Woops

I was too young to fully…

I was too young to fully understand the concepts of football that well during 2016; was our O-line/specifically LT-play that bad?

I am worried we are royally…

I am worried we are royally fucked when Hunter, Eli, Jones (who’s not great but has looked decent lately), and Diabate leave next year.

Williams is a complete net…

Williams is a complete net negative when he is on the floor

Exactly. They have no…

Exactly. They have no redeeming "identity" so to speak. Some teams might suck offensively, but they at least put in some hustle and try to play good defense. This team can't shoot, has good not great post play from 1 or 2 players, doesn't hustle, and plays terrible defense. It's not fun at all to watch and I've said that to multiple people (in person) since around game 6.

Don't want to sound like a…

Don't want to sound like a Debbie-downer, but if they lose this game, they're off the bubble and essentially eliminated from tournament contention (assuming they don't win the B1G tournament), right?

I need to listen to more…

I need to listen to more music, but:

OK Computer - Radiohead

The Bends - Radiohead

In Rainbows - Radiohead

Blonde - Frank Ocean

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West

To Pimp A Butterfly - Kendrick Lamar

Late Registration - Kanye West (minus the skits)

Good Kid, Maad City - Kendrick Lamar

Currents - Tame Impala

The Bends is always…

The Bends is always underrated by Radiohead fans in my opinion. The Bends, OK Computer, and In Rainbows are all like 1a/1b/1c for me.

So does this officially rule…

So does this officially rule out Harbaugh to the Dolphins?

In the same boat as you with…

In the same boat as you with DC. Much more worried about who we hire there than as OC. I think the offense should be able to do just fine next year with the returning talent they have, regardless of coordinator.

Exactly. I’m honestly…

Exactly. I’m honestly excited. I’m praying we don’t waste JJ, Corum/Edwards, Andrel/Roman/Clemons.

I get continuity is best for…

I get continuity is best for a program typically, but this might not be the worst thing in the world. Gattis wasn’t able to have a prolific passing game like he was expected to the past 3 years. With our main RB, Haskins, leaving, it would be difficult to remain with our run-first system that we had this past year, because both of our current RBs are more elusive and less power like Haskins.

He was leaving for a HC job in a year anyway, and before PSU, there were still games with lots of questionable playcalling.
