Grateful Dead final shows in Chicago, of course.

Jalen's Southwestern team

was easily the best team I've seen play in person.  They beat my my high school like 98-22 in a scrimmage.  I saw Lebron's high school play in the Ohio state tourney his Junior year and they were very good too.

And possibly...

Sylvania Southview vs. Toledo Whitmer the following weekend!  Top Ohio Junior recruits Alan Gant of Southview and Chris Wormley of Whitmer going head to head.

I played Petway...

...online in poker one night, or at least somebody who had me convinced he was Petway.  It was the night before a road game at Iowa and we were playing at a 9 person cash table.  He questioned my avatar(which was a photo of one of Antonio Bass' rare appearances on the field for M) and we got to chatting.  After a bit I asked if he was "Air Georgia"  in some way to not let the others know what I was talking about.  He was cool.  We helped each other win about $50-100 each and talked some hoops.  He was convinced my avatar was Braylon.  Also, no idea how much money was in his poker account because you can choose how much to show at the table, he played with about $250 I think.  I had tix for the home OSU game a few nights later and he told me to get there early for a pre-game dunk display which never happened.

I was convinced that Antonio Bass, if he could ever get healthy, was going to be a Denard Robinson-type player...

Mystery 5 star visitor

After hearing recruiting roundup, my first thoughts went to LB Trey DePriest.  Ohio kid that grew up loving Michigan, is committed to Bama, but a good season by M might make him rethink that.

A couple more come to mind...

I think Bo and Gerald Ford(he was President) are possibilities.

Miami vs. Ohio State

Pass interference....  I had just moved out there and cheered my ass off for the U.

Sylvania Southview-Gant

I went to Southview and can verify that Allen Gant is a stud and we definately want to go after him hard.  Whatever "it" is, he has it.  He started as a freshman on Southview's Division II state championship team two years ago at both receiver and corner and played big in the playoffs.  Last year Southview moved up to D I and lost 3 games early barely missing the playoffs.  They are undefeated so far this season and have a few nice athletes on the team.  I don't believe anybody from Southview has played football at Michigan.  They've had at least one kid make it to the NFL I know, but Gant is by far the biggest prospect whose come through there.  The biggest Southview-Michigan connection would probably be woman's gymnast Beth Wymer who was bad-ass for M back in the 90's.

I happened to be in North Carolina this past week...

spending time in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Asheville sporting my Michigan gear.  I was told several times a day that Michigan has one hell of a quarterback and how much fun they are to watch this year.  Most of these people were SEC or ACC fans.  Also, I received this same comment from high school age up to the blue hairs.  Clemson fans seem to really like Rich as well.  Long time reader, first time poster, but thought this was worth sharing.
