HELL YES!

HELL YES!

Agreed.

I don't think…

Agreed.

I don't think Zordich was the only guy who could successfully coach/teach DBs, but he made it so our DBs were technically sound. DBs give up plays, thats just how the game goes, but making sure they are in a position to succeed come from coaching. Lewis, Long, L. Hill, and Thomas all had talent, but they needed help. Guys like Jeremy Clark, Watson, C. Stribling, etc. weren't as talented, but Zordich was able to coach them up to make them hang.

I hope whoever we hire is able to do the same as Zordich, but at the end of the day you need talent at that position to hang with these talented receivers. That comes from recruiting.

Sad to see Zordich go. He…

Sad to see Zordich go. He has been loyal throughout his 6 years at Michigan and has been a hell of a teacher. I hope he does well wherever he goes.

As far as a new DB/S coach, it'll be interesting to see who Macdonald targets. Having a DB coach who recruits well is one thing, but they need to be able to be a great teacher as well. Its offense heaving in CFB and WR are becoming a more talented group each year. Hopefully we never have to face a D. Smith, because I'm not sure many (if any) could keep that kid in check.

Yes, Sam confirmed that…

Yes, Sam confirmed that. Said it should be made public in a few days (you know how that goes).

So... one bad/mediocre year…

So... one bad/mediocre year as a LB coach and that's it? From the description above it sounds like he has found success with both the DBs and LBs the past few years.

I don't follow Baltimore in-depth (since they aren't my team), so you would probably have a better idea than I would.

Sorry the formatting sucks…

Sorry the formatting sucks. Maybe someone can fix it for me.

Anyways, interesting name. Can't hate a DC candidate that has had his hand in the defense Baltimore produces each year. I'm curious if this is John trying to help out Jim here.

I'm not necessarily saying…

I'm not necessarily saying fire Jay (he still coaches special teams, correct?), but we haven't had a RB drafted since, what late 2000s? It's one thing to recruit elite backs, its another for them to perform at an elite level at the college level. We haven't had that.

I don't think it will happen…

I don't think it will happen. I was just posting the rumor. Shouldn't have even said anything. My overall point was that I'm fine with everyone on the offensive side of the ball, however I would like a new RB coach.

I think we still need to add…

I think we still need to add a RB coach. I know that Jay handles this position group right now, but I would like to see someone else take on this role.

I've seen small rumors that Sherrone Moore is being looked at by OU to replace Beamer, but who knows if that will happen. If it does, that's one of our top recruiters leaving for the 2nd straight year.

Defense needs a lot of retooling. The only person I would be on board with keeping is Zordich. I think we saw some improvement from Green throughout the season, and I think he will be solid next year.

Everyone else needs to go on D.

Players for Michigan that…

Players for Michigan that are out for this game.

Hayes
Mayfield
Paye
Hutchinson
McGrone
Hawkins
Vastardis

If Michigan wants to win, then they will need to be ready for a shootout. Our defense is bad, but with injuries piling up they are atrocious.

I still can’t believe…

I still can’t believe Costello threw for 600+ yards. That is just insane.

Lol fine, it’s the dumbest thing I’ve read this morning* It’s something that I’ve heard repeated multiple times and it’s just annoying.

Want Tampa to win, but I don…

Want Tampa to win, but I don’t mind Dallas winning either. But if there was a way for Dallas to win AND Corey Perry not get his name on the cup, then that would be great. I’ve always disliked that guy from back in his Anaheim days.

Dumbest thing I’ve ever…

Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Hockey has an international footprint and is only continuing to grow. It’s probably one of the most interesting sports to track from a prospect standpoint where there are so many leagues to track world wide (similar to baseball). Oh, and playoff hockey is better than any other pro sport playoffs.

Video I saw showed him giving it to Jefferson (who is going into the draft. I doubt he only gave money to players going into the draft, but I am sure that is what LSU will say.

I think he will go to Miami;…

I think he will go to Miami; however, I want the Colts to make a trade with the Lions to get him at 3 if Chase Young isn't there (which he won't be). Lions need picks and there isn't a reason to stay at 3 if Young is gone when they need CB, LB, and DL help that they can get at 13 (Colts), 34 (Colts), 35, and possibly 44 (Colts).

Yeah, that was all wishful thinking and it probably won't happen.

Just checked the stats…

Just checked the stats myself. Shea had 87 rush attempts this year and had 50 yards on the ground. Last year he rushed for less (73) and had the 273 you said above. Shea couldn't hang onto the ball as well this year as he did last year, so maybe he just took a sack more instead (25 this year compared to 21 last year though).

It wasn't his rushing this year that would have won us the big games. The only game that would have/could have been that case was the PSU game. His completion % in big games was bad.. Wisky = 44%, OSU = 42%, and Alabama = 46%. He needed to be better more in his passing game than his running game. That would have changed the season.

No, the issue isn't with…

No, the issue isn't with talking about Michigan football... its mentioning a lame stat in which takes into account sack yardage. Could Shea have ran more? Yes; there were plenty of times in which he could of picked up a first down, but mentioning his rushing stats like it would have had some major effect on the season is just dumb.

Why are we doing this?

Why are we doing this?

Their QB room is dry, it…

Their QB room is dry, it will not affect his decision.

Sorry. There is no defensive…

Sorry. There is no defensive coordinator that will be stopping this Ohio state offense. Including Clemsons DC. People are so fucking dumb.

No defense. Their offense is…

No defense. Their offense is legit, but I think they see OSU being better on both sides of the ball.

Need to get pressure and have McGrone spy Fields.

Can't do much with Brandon Watson. Its not the best plan to play man when they did either.

Gahhh would it be nice to have McGrone and Ross on the field at the same time.

Yaaaaas betch.

Yaaaaas betch.

Didn't PSU have a multitude…

Didn't PSU have a multitude of injuries on both sides of the line as well as playing walk-on LBs?

We will see if there is a change in the offense. The first chance to prove things will be against PSU, not Rutgers #2 this weekend.

Glasgow is a good player,…

Glasgow is a good player, but when it comes to teams that have speed across the board he is going to struggle. The thing that helps him against teams like Army and Wisconsin is his high IQ and discipline. He has those tools and uses them well, but that will only get you so far.

Find a way to get Hill,…

Find a way to get Hill, McGrone and Uche on the field at all times. Hill may be slim, but that dude is a heat seeking missle when he is let loose. The same can be said for McGrone.

Shut up, nerd.

Shut up, nerd.

and over and over and over…

and over and over and over and then and then and then.

Right. Not only does it take…

Right. Not only does it take the pressure off the QB but it creates the ability to get the QB in rhythm and gain some of that confidence back that he has been lacking. That created tempo opens up other avenues of running the ball, RPO, and those BOMBS down the field.

Take some of the pressure…

Take some of the pressure off the line with quick crossing routes. OSU used this ploy against us last year when their line had been underperforming throughout the season. If a team is sending pressure, use your slots to get the ball out and make the defense be more cautious moving forward.

People are acting like we…

People are acting like we are about to see MSU's 2018 offense this Saturday. It will be fine.

You're doing great sweetie.

You're doing great sweetie.

Keep up the great work here.

Big IF on beating Rutgers?…

Big IF on beating Rutgers? You need help, bud?

Frustrating thing about this…

Frustrating thing about this game is that I think our offense is more talented than Wisconsin's in this game outside of the obvious with Taylor. Our defense had a tough test last game and held up their end (like they usually do). We have too many weapons on offense, but until we do out best to utilize that talent then we won't win these games against tougher opponents.

I believe that the Army game was a fluke and Michigan will come out and win this game against Wisconsin Saturday to put themselves back on track for a successful season.

Be better than this post…

Be better than this post... talented group of receivers playing against less than challenging OOC teams with a bye week next week before Wisconsin. Rest your star player for when you need him (and others) against the tougher teams.

DPJ is in street close again…

DPJ is in street close again. Don’t think Runyan is playing today either. They said Tru Wilson is questionable which is weird since I thought he was gone for a month. Jeter is ready to go. All according to Fox.

Thanks for this man.

The amount of times Shea missed Bell out in the flat was bad. The fake handoff to the RB with Bell running behind the QB left Bell wide open twice with 20+ yards of room to run. Other times it would have gained more yards than the play that occurred.

Bell also needs to catch those 2 passes in the end zone. Same with Mckeon in the middle of the field.

Sometimes Shea goes for the big play when the simple pass over the middle would have been the better play. Forcing 30+ yard passes isn’t going to work, passing 5-10 yards in front when the receiver has nobody on them will net you greater yards than forcing passes into tight coverage.

Oh, and inside the 5 we really can’t just through Mason our there? No way the team forgot how to run the fullback dive

Other than that I really did like what I saw from the offense. The film review will help Shea and others see the missed opportunities on the field. This offense can’t get stalled in years past. Need to make the simple plays.
