Personally I'd like to see more out of the screen game. Hitting Roman/Henning quickly and certainly getting Edwards involved could be huge not only for the offense but to get JJ in a rhythm,
I know this is kind of petty, but if you go back and watch the NIU game, he CLEARLY sacks Rocky ~2 yards behind the LOS and never got credit for that sack on any site, this has always bothered me. Makes me wonder how many other times this happens.
I think it comes down to how our red zone offense performs against their red zone defense. Unfortunately the nod goes to MSU in that matchup, and I see a close game like 24-23 MSU. I hope I am wrong...
I'm not convinced that Cade 'can't' make the necessary reads/throws when 3rd and long approaches in a tight ballgame. I will wait to worry about that when the situation presents itself, maybe against Rutgers.
7 years old I went to my first game. In complete awe of the crowd and the size of the stadium. Michigan manhandled Bowling Green 42-7, Ron Bellamy and Anthony Thomas shined. I've been hooked ever since
The fact he made it clear he is signing with an "NCAA certified agent in order to retain his eligibility" says to me that he is just testing the waters.... wishful thinking?
Noticed this too... we've seen him use his right and be semi successful with it, but he seems to not have much confidence in spinning to his left and using his right
Okay, as opposed to dumping on you for a thread like this, as I'm sure most others will, I will give you my honest answer...
Matt Campbell has shown the ability to do more with less, and is a culture guy. Coaches and players alike have echoed that. He is the kind of guy that I believe Michigan should turn to in the post-Harbaugh era.
Being surrounded by ELITE perimeter defenders like Franz, Livers, and Chaundee who can all switch onto most any player, along with Eli who can hold his own against most ball handlers in the B1G.... Maybe I'm a nerd but this team is so fun to watch.
Another talented big man. Hunter has a good 20lbs on him but Robbins isn't afraid to shoot from deep. Not sure Hunter has been tested much in that regard yet.
I am a bit surprised how McGrone graded out. I thought he looked lost a few times in this game. I know he's been banged up so I'm hoping we can chalk it up to that.
Excuse my ignorance. But I thought children of staff members get free tuition regardless. Wouldn't it be useless to burn a scholarship on Jace? Happy for him nonetheless, hes a good ball player, just want to gain a better understanding.
Hes got all the traits of a kid with supreme talent but lacks confidence. You can see a lot of that in high school ball but most of the kids with the skill set to make a D1 program don't have those issues. I've never had the pleasure of meeting Juwan but he seems like the right guy to inspire confidence in a kid like that, I would be surprised if we don't see some rapid(ish) improvement in his output this year.
I was thinking the same, imagine Johns driving and taking on 2 defenders while Franz sits wide open in the corner. Small things like this give me hope that this team will still gel.

I foresee something like the Keon Coleman performance from MSU this year. Frustrating in the moment but ultimately inconsequential to the outcome.
Interesting point about the Play Action Pass vs. Run Action Pass, admittedly I've never given that much thought. I like where Joel's head is at.

Anyone else excited to see how Hunter fares against guys like Cockburn or Garza? Obviously different skillsets but very talented big men.
