While I appreciate a brave and honest opinion from you Brian, some things could've been left unsaid about Sharp in the wake of his death. Maybe it's just me, but I've always been taught not to speak ill of the dead. I'm disappointed to see what has been written.
Given the fact that the rule in note 1 includes the wording "head or neck area" in each bullet except the last, it should be interpreted to mean that the last bullet point was intended to apply to situations without forcible contact to the head or neck of the player being tackled. I agree that it shouldnt warrant an ejection, but it seems the drafters of the rule knew what the consequences of the note would be by excluding the language that they repeated above it.
Also, wasnt MSU supposed to be the poster-child of rugby tackling in order to make the game safer? Seems like Malik missed that tutorial.

Why is the red cup blurred out in his picture? I mean, I understand that people under 21 have a tendancy to photoshop pictures of them with alcohol to give the appearance that they aren't imbibing illegally, but for real? Does he really think the red solo cup in his hand is any less visible with the pixelation?
I think a strong argument could be made that the scholarship's value is great enough to be construed as coercive... So you have a point. Con law was also my worst class
