I appreciate this thread and…

I appreciate this thread and the reactions. It's a sad thing and I just knew I'd see compassionate reactions around here.

As a side note, the 11W thread is about 90% compassionate. It took all of one post for a dude to get political and for warnings to have to go out from mods. It's nice to not have that.

Just before I continue…

Just before I continue reading the entire thing, I wanted to comment that the censored version of the chart made me laugh out loud.

For a half-second, I was like, "Huh? It's the same graphic." And then came the laughter. Very good.

By the way, I absolutely love these articles and have for years. Thank you for doing it. And good luck tomorrow.

But what are the chances in…

But what are the chances in the present day that Michigan consistently fields a team that beats OSU & MSU but loses to the likes of Washington, Northwestern, Maryland, etc? (to get to this 7-5 record you mentioned). There's not a schizophrenic team out there that could accomplish such a feat.

I mean, in Harbaugh's 2nd…

I mean, in Harbaugh's 2nd year it sure looked just as good if not better than what Tucker is currently doing.

1)Let's just see what Tucker looks like in his 4th-5th year at MSU (if he's there that long).
2)Tucker found the Monopoly square in a McDonalds Sweepstakes in Kenneth Walker. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Walker was perceived as being anywhere near this good until he just blew up this year. Tucker is clearly a good HC but he was awfully fortunate to get such surprise piece in the transfer portal.

And if Michigan had called…

And if Michigan had called that timeout and then Cade still wasn't available to go back in?

Or how about if Michigan ended up needing that timeout near the end of the game? Fans would've been SUPER PISSED about why he didn't just throw JJ back out there and save the timeout.

No human is omniscient. Harbaugh had to make a call and got the wrong number. I wouldn't nail him to the wall for it.

Extremely well-considered…

(Apparently I double posted) Sorry!

Extremely well-considered…

Extremely well-considered thoughts.

Being forced to settle for FG's almost always comes back to bite you. It's not that I thought that any of those 4th downs screamed that they should be going for them, but it's unfortunate plays on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down that got them in those situations.

There's so much stuff that UM fans should be positive about. Holy cow, was Anthony good!! Pretty good work by the OL, the QB's (even McCarthy did fine until his last two snaps).

It's just you sometimes lose when you play against a good team in a tough environment. The Michigan team showed a ton of heart and played hard. Before the season, I would've thought Harbaugh would be toast if MSU beat him again, but I don't think cutting him and this staff loose would be the correct response to this game... provided that they don't go into a tailspin, of course.

I am very much into the…

I am very much into the Edgar Allen Poe references. Bravo.

Game has some very strange…

Game has some very strange overall stats.

OSU got 612 yards and only 28 points? Despite outgaining the Ducks by 107 yards, Oregon had control of this game just throughout and it felt like if anything, it was Oregon who outgained Ohio State. Also weird. But if just a couple of things go differently, Ohio State could've won.

It doesn't seem like as bad of a loss as the Virginia Tech one in 2014 but time will tell how good Oregon is (that VA Tech team in 2014 turned around and lost to their next opponent, if I remember right). It feels like the OSU defense has more fundamental, championship-killing issues than any OSU unit of 2014 though.

Hope it doesn't annoy y'all too much that I posted here! I've lurked here a lot but never really posted much before. I've attended both schools in this rivalry and have a deep appreciation for it. The 11W posters (not the guys who write the columns but the general public) are just too apoplectic/unreasonable after a day like today to be around.

You lose sometimes. I was surprised Oregon was that good today but it happens and the Bucks can grow from this.

Good luck with Washington (on right now, but I'm still kind of mad at the world for the OSU loss so I may not watch). Who are we kidding, I probably will. Anyways, go get 'em!

I always enjoy reading this…

I always enjoy reading this. I've been a long time lurker on this site, and have just now opened an account.

Thanks for writing these columns. Michigan unfortunately had a similar problem in their first half to what OSU experienced against Clemson. Those FGs needed to be TDs. It would have drastically changed the complexion of the game.

It's easy to take the Fumble…

It's easy to take the Fumble or Incomplete call from the Clemson/OSU game in stride when you're watching it without a vested interest. If it was Clemson/Michigan, you'd probably feel stronger emotions.

With that said, I can see why it was called incomplete, but damn that hurts when it is so close.
