I think the only other NFC championship the lions played in was at SF. Also, the last road playoff win Detroit had was at SF. Lots of nifty storylines here. If they come up short, I just hope they’re in the game
I believe this is the answer. I’ve felt exactly like OP - liked to see the lions win, but didn’t really care much either way. Now, I’m seeing what successful organizations have had and wonder if Detroit can continue the momentum or if it’ll be a one-off. I fear they may not be able to withstand losing excellent coordinators.
The difference I take here between SEC and B1G: SEC schools stick up for each other, B1G schools do not.
Of course, this is all dependent on what the “journalist” chooses to include in his article…
Look at all the stars in that diagram. Impressive. I recall a couple years back (2021 I think) where osu had all the stars and there may have been one or two for the good guys.
This is (as always) outstanding work. I found myself during the game thinking Moore had to throw now and then to loosen things up, but this shows he was doing the right thing all along. Good thing I’m just a fan lol
Joel Klatt has become my go to guy for anything college football. He’s fair and doesn’t play the hype game at all. Like many, I take Cowherd with a salt block, but Klatt’s pieces with him are pretty entertaining and informative
Interesting. I see grumbling on here all the time regarding 5* recruits and why can’t we get some. Would it be wrong to consider recruit rankings are heavily skewed by athletic ability alone? And is it also possible that this staff recruits on mental sharps along with physical ability to run complex systems? Therefore, if a 5* isn’t capable of doing it consistently they don’t pursue them as hard?
Watching Minter run this defense is a joy. Opponents need to get their licks in early because it seems like he has counters in place for whatever they try after their first couple series. This may change with upcoming teams with deeper talent pools, but I won’t ever feel like they’re in danger of not figuring out what to do.
Nebraska is a train wreck - offensively. Like many, I’ve been popping in to watch the circus, and Nebraska’s D is bringing it but the offense can’t get out of its’ own way. They should have 10 or 14 by now

No doubt!!
Ah. That’s the one I was thinking of

Thanks for the title, coach. No thanks for the circus every year.

It’s Ohio state and not really close in my book. Who would you rather replay? Last on that list is Ohio state.
That’s guaranteed. Just look at the narrative after Penn state. They just keep moving the goal posts

That is the greatest thing I’ve heard today. Blessings on your family!
I suspect they’ll do just fine. There are only a few big ten teams with legit defense.
Iowas offense shouldn’t do anything. Not really praiseworthy
I really don’t think play calling has done him any favors. There’s nothing but strange calls - disjointed almost.
While I’ll always love the maize pants and white jersey combo, the all white look is tight
This is impressive as hell
“Fukin”. 🤔

E-yikes
If there’s one…
Hear, hear!
If there’s one piece I really look forward to here it’s the Opponent Watch. Not seeing it is like Mad magazine with no Spy vs Spy
OP hit the nail on the head

What a game. What a post-game interview!
Greatest post game interview I’ve ever watched. That’s a man that loves his guys - all of them
Yeah, right. Congrats Pete thamel
That’s billionaire idiot to you and I
Maybe… More likely a good cornerback that knows his reads combined with an “interceptable” throw.

FWIW, I find OSU’s radio guy to be one of the best. He’s got a great radio voice and a very professional delivery
He was ahead of the runner looking for a block. Block was inbounds - how can you flag that??
Still…well done sir
My favorite of his was on a fire that burned 20 books at auburn university. He said, “The real tragedy was that 15 of them hadn’t been colored yet.
Yossarian, that post is gold my man!
No. Never.
If I’m correct, south ferry field is grass

And clearing history worked like magic. (Damn those porn sites anyhow) Sad fact is I knew that but apparently had to be told…again.
Go Blue!
All great suggestions, thanks to all.
First time I’ve ever heard Rutgers fight song. It really sounds like a barbershop quartet song to me lol
Notre Dame might just spit the bit tonight. In all fairness, they’ve got a tough schedule
As an old Central Intermediate Cavalier, I applaud the Northeast Vikings reference.
Best part of this blog to me is watching lawyers wrangle minutia with each other.
The rest of us just resort to common sense.
I thought Nessler and Danielson were just fine. I really didn’t pick up any SEC stuff at all
Well…. It’s a good looking game, so maybe mute him and listen to Dark Side of the Moon
I’ll watch Texas-Alabama until Fowler drives me to another game

My thoughts: unable to stream because of the spectrum spat with ESPN. ☹️
