But the Big Ten is talented and we have to have talent to compete. He can be a great coach but basketball is a talent game and you have to have players to compete.
when its 3rd and short (3 or less) give the ball to denard and have him run...every time. I repeat EVERY TIME!!
I understand that this has been successful, but isn't this also exactly what we don't want to do. Why would we take our single most important player and put him in more positions to get hurt? Denard's best ability it to make it through space... HE IS NOT A POWER BACK. In fact, having Denard used for 3 and short should (ideally) be used as the last option. I get that Hopkins is fumble prone... but give it to our biggest running back and have him run between the big guys. He should (in theory) be more durable. And like I stated before, the world will not end if Hopkins gets banged up... it will if Denard does.
is #4 in the country... GERG's defense is not. If you are under the delusion that GERG's defense will be #4 or better overall in his 3rd year, I am sad to say you're wrong. I understand this is under the assumption that RR is solely responsible for the offense and GERG solely for the defense.
But wouldn't any DC look better with more experienced guys?
I am by no means a GERG hater, but I do think that Casteel definitely knows his stuff. The question we should be asking is, "could another DC (** Castell) have done a better job with what we have now?
Obviously you don't get a Super Bowl ring on sheer luck, but there have been a lot of questionable calls by GERG... I think that is a fair assumption.
I think that personally (pending some drastic change) that it would be a very smart move to snatch him up. However, I'm not sure that is going to be feasible with RR still in semi - hot water (cross your fingers about Penn State). If the season goes as we all hope and there is some definite stability in RR job, then I think he may consider coming to Mich. JMO.
Kevin has acted very mature about the situation in every way so far.
I posted the question in the first place, because I am very much a believer that with the right coaching, Sousa could be a stud. All reports of him in camps over the past summer were raving... it just seems that he is currently on a team that gives him ZERO help whatsoever.
PITT is doing very well in state, and has pulled some guys with much larger offers. I am impressed (and glad that they are staying out of Happy Valley).
but I must say that he moves quite quick for a relatively larger guy, with a great center of gravity. I would project a redshirt year + Barwis program would work out real nicely.
Could we could get this guy to do a bit of recruiting for us... I'd sure as hell commit if he showed up to my house trying to convince my mom that Michigan was the place for me. GERG and Kenny could do some tag team recruiting.
I'll give credit when it is due, and I was very much impressed with the way Tate handled the interview. It was very professional and was still 100% heartfelt. Well done Tate.
Why do out of state high school kids (with no real ties) to Michigan State seem to have such an interest when they are also looking at UofM? Worse academically, far less players to NFL, and (aside from last weekend) generally much less spotlight from big games.
I know I am biased, but it really boggles my mind.
Is there a place where we can find some larger photos of this pose? All the ones that I have seen so far are really too small to look good as a desktop background for me.
I just find it amazing to think that at the time of Denard's recruitment that RR was the one who saw his extreme potential as a QB. And I can't say enough how impressed I am with his humbleness and attitude towards the spotlight.
may not look like a stud, but I remember a few instances where a competent throw and catch would have been very detrimental. I will say that things overall are much better than expected BUT, there were a couple times where we were (for sake of argument) lucky not to have been much more exposed.
Section 29 row 10ish... but to be honest I was so drunk that when the Fireworks went off I cringed in fear thinking Dilithium Denard had just gone nuclear. I think the same went for most of the other guys around me.
not happy at all about this Dee hart info. I am 100% hoping that he will end up here, but this seems kinda sketchy that he suddenly (after forever talking about the UCONN game) won't be able to come, and instead will be going to Auburn. I hope to God that RR sets him and his mom straight, but I have to admit, this makes me a bit nervous. I guess only time will tell?
When I read this post I immediately read it as though you had a vagina... that is all. Man up and don't worry where you are when you are rooting for our boys!

You can't replicate that't
This is always welcome.
So talent doesn't matter you say... interesting.
Those who survived were champions!
that nothing makes a kid better than a good ol' electrical shock when he does bad.
I'd be $11.47 richer, to be exact.
There would be a giant ass logo right in the middle... or two half sized (equally obnoxious) ones on the sides of the court.
That is why I preferred when we were Nike.

comments like that add so much to threads.

the picture is very blurry for me too at the moment.
Even if I'm doing something wrong, I'm going to go 100 MPH doing it.

at the 1:08/1:09 mark is what I need to start seeing again. Unfortunately, the same play right now would likely result in at least an 8 yrd gain.
I understand the youth of our team... but that tackling and drive to not let the opposing team even an inch farther. That is what I miss.

That really did happen to me... spondylolysis. Something that very faintly (sometimes) shows up in X-Rays.
I say Gardner goes with that. That sounds believable.
Good luck Harry Potter.
As much as this schedule is gonna be sick... only 4 home games? That doesn't seem like enough to me.
Did anyone else read the comment about Double D's and immediately start thinking of how to turn it into a "your mom..." joke?
The worlds most dreaded offense is now getting it's counterpart - a dreaded defense.
Even Jonah Hill knows that Lewan is gonna blow up to be an O-line stud!

he meant former student from Michigan... not tOSU.
I respect that.
Not a big fan of these things (especially when they are done frequently). But everyone tis' their own... or something like that.
Nicely done sir!
Someone is about to go from :O to :(
Did anyone else read that title and think, "I wonder if this guy knows that he is late to the show? Game day was Saturday."
Although, for me this was promptly followed by:
- Shit, am I still drunk? -> No
- What day is it? -> Sunday
- *Fist pump*, I was right after all.

alcohol level at the time.
of him as more along the lines of a Lightning Bolt.
ESPN actually has a very good video of the story from last year but I can't figure out how to embed it properly. Here is the link:

And it ends with Brock mentioning that his goal is to be able to run out on that field with his little brother.

unfortunate generally refers to when something bad happens out of your control. In this case, it is clearly poor choices that have led to all of this.
With that being sad, I wish him the best of luck and will pray that he takes a step back to refocus and correct his life and future decisions.
as soon as he commits I'll be happy to say hello and welcome in person. Until then I'll just continue praying to the FB Gods.
