We will look back in disbelief a few years from now when we emerge from this fog to realize that fans are actually being asked to donate their money to collectives so players will stay at Michigan. I don’t have a TV deal with Fox, NBC and CBS. Michigan does. Pay your damn players and stop asking your fans to do it instead. And, if you won’t, then pay your damn S&C coach what he’s worth to turn middle tier players into top tier players.
Revenue sharing can’t get here soon enough so this NIL nonsense can end.
What price tag do you put on turning 3-4* players into 5* players on the field when the athletic department already refuses to commit money to better recruiting and NIL? We can’t simply look at Herbert’s salary demand in a vacuum. We have to look at it in the context of what Michigan is unwilling to spend in other areas that Herbert is able to overcome through superior development.
So all the bluster about going to the mat was…bluster?
Sometimes you stand on principle and fight for what you think is right. Here, Michigan capitulated to a mob-led, feckless Commissioner and hung a target on its back for the rest of its existence in this garbage conference.
This is a great summary. We fold on EVERYTHING. I never want to hear about Michigan “fighting for what’s right”, or “going to mat”, or any of the other goofy BS the insiders have been peddling the last two weeks.
The adults leading the University and the athletic department have shit the bed. Now, everything falls on those players. I have faith in them and I sure hope they pull this out. They deserve it.
We have had mini packages for JJ all year. This will be the game to go a few full drives with JJ running zone read and RPO. Georgia won’t know what hit ‘em.
The worst part of Brandy’s PBP is how he always shoehorns in “Touchdown ... Mmmmmmichigan!” whenever we score. He so badly wants that to become a catchphrase like Ufer’s “Meeechigan”. It is cringeworthy.
I'm so sick of the "we have bigger problems than QB" crowd. Yes, we have lots of problems. But make no mistake, QB is one of them. JOK has no upside this year and he's gone next year. At a minimum, Peters should get meaningful snaps in the next three games to see what he has.
I thought he should have gotten the last drive tonight. Is he so fragile that we would've "broken" him down 42-13 in a whiteout at Penn St? Trust me, if he would break because of a sack or two, we want to know that now. Hell, he might have showed a spark that could carry to the next game.
My two cents: Peters should get at least one drive per half in the next three games.
...but, Don Brown is just on a whole other level. That guy is a stinking genius. I hope he's here for the duration of Harbaugh's 20+ year tenure here (fingers crossed).
If I'm comparing what he said around friends versus a statement of formal apology and professed love for UofM on twitter, then I will believe what he said around frends as his true feelings. He wasn't pressured into saying anything about M in the video. He said what was on his mind.
Absolutely agree to move on. It certainly has not altered my reality. But, hitting F5 repeatedly and posting on this site (which is not what I usually do) is not about reality either. So, all of this is a bit of an alternate universe.
Sorry, this was not a "heat of the moment" utterance. He said "F*ck Michigan" while chilling with his boys. So, I agree that those types of things deserve slack, but this was not one of those types of things.
First, I don't think saying "F*ck Michigan" is a mistake. What you say around friends when you think you are "keeping it real" is what you really feel. So, I don't necessarily agree with his statement that "in no way does that reflect who I am as a person." Of course it does. It just doesn't reflect what he wants the public to think of him now.
Second, someone who "loves the University of Michigan" would never utter those words. So, stop with the fake affection so you can put our hat on table.
Third, if it really was a mistake then I'm fine with forgiving him. But, then how about he forgive Michigan for the whole "thank you" letter incident? That seemed like an innocent mistake by an M staffer as well and I'm sure Harbaugh and others have apologized to him and his mother multiple times for it. But, didn't he say in the video that "they didn't even know my name"? Sounds like he's still bitter about it and carrying around a grudge.
I wonder if there is a way to see if he has purchased airline tickets to either Detroit or whereever you fly to get to Bama. Maybe he purchased tickets to both to throw folks off...
Sorry, I didn't want to start on anew thread for this. But, I just read on Twitter that Steve Wiltfong has a gut feeling that Filiaga ends up at OU even though 90+% crystal balls are to Michigan. Is his gut feeling as accurate as Sam Webb's? I'm not pleased by this prediction.
There was way too much time on the clock for that call. I could see it if it is one play to win the game like when we went for two a few years ago. But 4:30 is an eternity. Better to tie it and take chances with last possession with OT looming. Also, had they made it OSU would've been more aggressive with play calling. So, again, it was too early IMHO.
This is the first time I've ever logged in to upvote someone. This despite you bursting my bubble regarding Tiffani ... and Crystal ... and Madison ... and Keela ... oh wait ...
I absolutely loved the clean, crisp look of the white jerseys, especially the minimalist stripes on the sleeves. I'm indifferent to the pants as long as the jerseys remain the same.
Great way to finish the half and then put together a statement drive to start the second half. So important to finish strong and then start strong with adjustments during halftime.

You are right. He deferred to her a lot. I too think she has much influence here.
And there are many independent reasons why he would want to attend Michigan regardless of academics, such as the NJ pipeline into Michigan. This feels different than both Hand and McDowell.
To be clear, Rashan was not the one talking about academics. That was all his mom and she said it a few times. She wants him to get a degree so she wants him to go somewhere that he will have academic structure and tutoring to make football work on top of academics. She really seems to be involved in a good way and is trying to see through the double talk and the real talk. Michigan should stand out on that front.
I'm sure Rashan wants to get a good degree too because he seems to be raised well, but he was talking more about the food. So, good thing we have a killer food court. Who knew?
Amazing job of synching the meaning of the words with the meaning of the replays. I really enjoyed the look back. Reminds me that this has been quite a journey for more than just the last two seasons.
Here is to many more journeys yet to come for Michigan basketball. Hail !
Last year, Kansas v. Michigan was early game and Florida v. Dunk City was second game. I would think our game was more of the marquee matchup but we were first anyways.
I snuck in with 2 tickets on Ticketmaster before the UK game went final. I hope we are the second game so I can move up to a better seat. I can't imagine the bitter fans of the losing team will want to stick around for our game when they can just drive home or go drown their sorrows elsewhere. Also, the secondary market for Sunday will be fantastic if we win Friday. Just catch the losing fans on their way out and ask nicely to buy their Sunday tickets. That worked well last year when I bought floor seats for the Florida game from Kansas fans.

That strategy will only work against Michigan, not for Michigan. We are the ones that bent over and took it in the ass.
Balas is a know-nothing dolt. I would not listen to a word he says.
Wow, we are so fucking weak that UW’s chancellor can now dictate to us on how to run our football program? This is worse than I thought.
Exactly right. We just hung a sign on our door asking to be screwed again, anytime, for anything that anyone wants to complain about loudly enough.
Because the game that counts is the third of the three.
And because we got no meaningful concession in exchange.

Any time someone says my source “has been spot on,” run like hell
Harbaugh isn’t staying up late writing legal briefs and practicing oral arguments.

I'm looking for 2 tickets to the Nebraska game. Going to take my daughter to the game. Email me at [email protected] if anyone is selling. Thanks.

Do I take Michigan -34 points or take Cincy on the moneyline? Hmmm...I think I will stick with Michigan -34.
I don't root for them unless it directly -- and I mean directly -- helps Michigan. Go Blue!!
I want OSU to finish this class with many whiffs after 31-0-HIO happened.
Hmm, finish 8-5 but recruit like gangbusters? Sounds alot like Ole Miss in years past, doesn't it?

Is it possible to love Coach Beilein but hate his offense and defense? Asking for a friend...

Go to Revelli Hall across from Elbel Field at about 2:20 pm to watch the Marching Band and then follow them into the stadium. It is great fun!

He is likely not taking a three day trip to A2 on mom's dime unless Michigan is the leader and she wants him to confirm all the good vibes.
Hi. It appears the spreadsheet has been locked down. How can I get access to update it? Thanks.
Get well soon, Ace. Love your writing and your humor.
Andrew Dakich is quickly becoming my favorite player on this team. His dances are hysterical.

His failure is delicious. Go Blue!
You took some perfect, and made it perfecter.
Bang me up !!!
