Strong effort against a good offensive team. My only worry is keeping everyone healthy.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:07 PM ^
I hope Kinnel is ok.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:31 PM ^
Me too, but Hawkins seemed to make all the right plays when he came in.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:41 PM ^
he ran back out from the tunnel
October 13th, 2018 at 10:59 PM ^
That defense is FILTHY!
October 13th, 2018 at 11:00 PM ^
What's this about our DL being extremely thin tonight? We got punched a few times early, but Hornibrook was so uncomfortable.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:13 PM ^
No Gary, which was tough. Getting Solomon back was huge. He was on a pitch count and looked kind of lean out there, but he held up well when I was watching him.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:13 PM ^
I mean besides Gary everyone else injured played. Kemp, Dwumfur, and Solomon. Pleasantly surprised by that. Now please be good to go next week Rashan

October 13th, 2018 at 11:17 PM ^
Exactly. We played with an extremely thin DL and curb stomped them. I thought Taylor was going to run for 200+ tonight, but we managed to contain things until the game got out of hand. Let's hope Solomon gets his sea legs and we don't get knicked up further against MSU. That bye week can't come too soon.

You can say that again!! My favorite interim Yale baseball coach!
October 14th, 2018 at 12:40 AM ^
And again.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:05 PM ^
Why Wisconsin didn't keep running Jonathan Taylor is beyond me. Serious tackling issues in the first half, but as usual Don Brown fixed it haha, otherwise amazing job.
October 14th, 2018 at 5:11 AM ^
No doubt. Some of those punting situations they were in as well. 3rd and short near the 50 and they punt with that kid in the backfield? Thats some dumbsh!t
October 13th, 2018 at 11:06 PM ^
Jonathan Taylor and that offensive line are legit. Mostly limited the big plays and obviously destroyed Hornibrook.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:06 PM ^
Aubrey Solomon was sprinting downfield. Glorious site. Welcome back.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:06 PM ^
The only reason they had any yards was because it takes three guys to tackle Taylor.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:07 PM ^
Horningbrook was a garbage time drive against backups away from having Sitkowskis stat line.
And thats with a depleted DLine.
Its starting to come together. Dont want to get ahead of myself though. State is stupid.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:07 PM ^
If you don't get your kicks in against Don Brown in the first three or four drives, just start gameplanning for next week early.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:09 PM ^
Taylor is legit. Our defense made Hornibrook so uncomfortable. I loved it.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:12 PM ^
Don Brown haters should eat poop.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:23 PM ^
There are Don Brown haters? I guess I don't spend enough time on the Internet.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:26 PM ^
There are people on here who think both Brown and Harbaugh should be fired.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:50 PM ^
Well...Brown's defense is gimmicky. You can tell by the fact that they have been in the top 10 for 3 years in a row.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:16 PM ^
Uche is starting to look very legit. Long live Greg Mattison.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:54 PM ^
I thought he was just a speed rush guy, but he drove right through a tackle and put him on his ass once. Play was stopped due to a penalty, but not until he did that to the tackle.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:11 AM ^
That was my favorite play of the game. UW was whistled for a false start, but Uche hoisted the RT off the ground and planted him in his ass. Giving up almost 100lbs and physically dominating.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:17 PM ^
Jonathan Taylor is scary. I honestly think Wisconsin might have won this game if they just handed it off to Taylor every single down.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:33 PM ^
I mean not really, that strategy might have worked for Wisconsin if they had a great defense but you're not going to beat a team that scored 38 with just running. At some point UM would have put 10 guys in the box if they had to
October 13th, 2018 at 11:43 PM ^
At one point in the first half, Taylor had 76 yards on 10 carries. The rest of the game he gained 25 yards on 7 carries. So I don't know about them winning by just handing off every play.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:50 PM ^
Don Brown adjustments. Gotta love em.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:47 PM ^
Ummmm...no.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:02 AM ^
I'm pretty sure he was hurt. Taylor was in first two plays of a series and then would go out. We are like why would they have the best RB in the nation out? I bet he had a slight pull like a groin he was playing through.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:27 PM ^
Wow! One bad drive in 1st half and one garbage drive late. Without Rashan, too. Dominant win. Bring on the rest of the BigTen. Things are looking good. I wouldn’t want to play us.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:30 PM ^
Hornibrook completing 3 passes for 25 yards and 2 interceptions would have been epic if not for that garbage time scoring drive.
But you can't complain about having one really bad drive the rest of the night.
I completely lost my mind on the Lavert Hill pick six.
So happy right now!!!!!!!!!!
October 13th, 2018 at 11:33 PM ^
Average day. Gave up the late TD which was disappointing
October 13th, 2018 at 11:45 PM ^
Nobody gets sarcasm anymore. Thankfully the mgopoints are still imaginary!
October 14th, 2018 at 3:04 AM ^
"No, my joke was funny. You're just dumb."
October 13th, 2018 at 11:33 PM ^
Only the best D in the country. This unit is special. And they did it without one of their top two D linemen. A garbage time TD makes the score look better for Wiscy. Total domination. Taylor got some yards early but was shut down when it mattered.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:34 PM ^
We didn't even have Rashan, which is crazy. We were fortunate Wisconsin didn't run more earlier, especially on 3rd and 3 situations where they could have converted because we were letting up significant yards per play on the ground.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:46 PM ^
Just hoping Kinnel and Long are healthy. If we get Gary, Solomon, and Dwumfour back next week, the defense will really be ready to roll.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:55 PM ^
Dwumfour played, he blew past two guys to cause a sack on the one play
October 13th, 2018 at 11:46 PM ^
I wasn't watching for Aubrey Solomon, did he play and if he did how did he do?
October 13th, 2018 at 11:53 PM ^
He played and did well for being out for a while.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:49 PM ^
So did Solomon and Dwumfour play tonight? I swear I saw 5 and 50 on defense tonight, and I never would’ve pegged them playing tonight over Gary, given their injury situation.
October 13th, 2018 at 11:57 PM ^
Yes, Dwumfour played, he blew by two guys on the one pass and almost got a sack. And I definitely saw Solomon as well and he looked to moving really well
October 13th, 2018 at 11:55 PM ^
Outstanding performance without Rashan. Team seems to be getting better as the season rolls along, and I think we held Wisconsin most of the game to 100 yards ? Excellent win.
