a total of 28 would mean that the fan vote equals 3.571429% of the total, rather than 1%.

Anyway, I voted, and I plan to do so 16 more times between now and the end of voting.  What that does as far as my own personal % of total votes cast by the public, well, that is yet to be determined.  Meanwhile, Hyman has a sizable lead and can keep it that way as long as we do our part.

Boston University's Jack Eichel  Led the nation in points, assists and +/-; conference Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year; first team all-conference; all tournament team in conference tournament in which he won the MVP for a team that's one of the top seeds in the NCAA Tournament after winning the regular season and conference tournament championships; possibly going in the top two or three of the upcoming NHL Draft. . . . and he's only a freshman.

Looks like there's a pretty strong anti-Eichel sentiment, because he wasn't even selected as the best American college hockey player in his region, losing to Harvard junior Jimmy Vesey who led the nation in goals for a team that finished sixth in the ECAC, but won the conference tournament.

Looks like Zach Hyman could become the Hobey front-runner. Since the NCAA hockey tournament expanded to 12 teams in 1988, has there ever been a Hobey Baker Award winner whose team did not make the NCAA tournament?

I think the voting will be clear. Eichel is #1, Hyman is #2, and then there's just a lot of noise behind that

SIde note: how is Hyman so far in front. I know the Michigan fanbase is strong, but almost 10,000 votes and about 5,000 more than 2nd? and 2nd place is from North Dakota. Goodness.....Canadians?
