Fingers crossed for him. I didn't see and don't want to see the injury.

Update: Sounds like it was a hyperextended elbow and preliminary findings show no break or ligament damage. Gary will get an MRI today.

For those who may not be watching the Seattle vs Green Bay game, Gary went out with a gruesome arm injury
I'm assuming you saw it & can provide a little more details for the board. I'd guess you have a decent idea if you're talking about a broken bone, a torn ligament, a concussion, etc. A bit more context would be great.

I saw it in real time and didn’t really notice anything. However, the announcers said they would not replay it because it was too gruesome. They related his arm was “twisted.” He was clearly in a lot of pain on the field and left the blue tent in tears. I hate to guess someone else’s health status, but he’s probably gonna be sidelined for a while.

I think just knowing the context of it being his arm tells us a lot, thanks. And when you hear something twisting that usually indicates some sort of dislocation. An arm is never as bad as a leg or even worse anything involving the spine or head. Here's to hoping it looks worse than it is and a full and speedy recovery to Gary. It was nice to see him beginning to blossom this year.

The original post states that it was his arm.
November 14th, 2021 at 7:21 PM ^
Packers called it an elbow injury and labeled him as Questionable to return. Someone on Twitter said he walked out of the medical tent with some skip in his step and was fist bumping teammates on his way to the locker room. Looked bad but initially sounds like it may not be as awful as it looked.

They showed him walking up the tunnel and he had both arms in normal walking movement. No arm in a sling or held across his chest.

Must be pretty bad if they wouldn’t show the replay.
That’s a huge loss for Green Bay.
November 14th, 2021 at 7:23 PM ^
Either a dislocated elbow or broken arm. He was in a ton of pain.
November 14th, 2021 at 7:30 PM ^
sucks as he was having an excellent year for them...
Good Luck to Rashan...Hoping for a full and speedy recovery

Dislocations can look pretty gruesome because it appears so unnatural. But the recovery can be surprisingly fast upon "relocation"

Truth. Ever see a kid with Nurse Maid’s elbow? Hurts like heck, but when you pop it back in place, it’s like the pain just goes away instantly. Parents bring kids into the ED fairly regularly and then they think you’re some sort of miracle worker.
November 14th, 2021 at 9:55 PM ^
ED? Erectile Dysfunction? Does Cialis put the elbow back in place permanently or only for the weekend?
November 14th, 2021 at 10:13 PM ^
My wife is a peds nurse and I thought it was some sort of black magic when she first did that with our daughter's arm. Then I learned how to "fix" it too.

Dislocations can FEEL pretty gruesome too, at first. But when your shoulder pops back in, you're not even done screaming before you feel remarkably better.
I will always remember Brandon Inge for how calm he was when he dislocated his shoulder mid-play. Popped it back in *himself*, and made the next out without blinking. Dude was tough as nails.

Glad to pray for him, but not to him ?

Prayer for him.
November 14th, 2021 at 7:56 PM ^
Hope he gets well soon but just so you know, your prayers will have absolutely zero to do with his recovery.
November 14th, 2021 at 8:04 PM ^
I think this is categorically false.

Okay then let's all send positive vibes
November 14th, 2021 at 10:12 PM ^
Most people understand this is the same sentiment, regardless of religious belief, and thus don't post negatively either way. Why would you ever try to make something negative out of a person hoping the best outcome for someone other than themselves?
November 15th, 2021 at 5:28 AM ^
Feel better now?
November 14th, 2021 at 8:01 PM ^
Worst pain I've ever known was a fractured elbow. The way he was writhing on the field leads me to believe he suffered something similar.
November 14th, 2021 at 8:30 PM ^
Green Bay’s defense has been a big reason for their success. I don’t watch much nfl but last week and today’s shutout is something. Hope he’s playing soon.

Get well soon young man ?.
Hoping your injury is not too serious ?

God bless, young man.
November 14th, 2021 at 11:36 PM ^
Good God your title scared me. I mean, I wish him the best and and a speedy recovery and all, but usually when the prayers get whipped out it means someone's in bad shape. I was expecting some horrific spinal injury or a near-fatal car crash or a tragedy befalling one of his loved ones.
It sucks for him because he was beginning to play really well. Hopefully this doesn't affect his next contract with Green Bay being cheap-asses.
November 15th, 2021 at 12:12 AM ^
Sounds like hyper extended elbow and should be ok.
November 15th, 2021 at 1:36 AM ^
It may have been a dislocated elbow. He was not holding his arm like it was broken, so in the tent they must of popped his elbow back in place. It will probably be sore for a while but he may be able to play next week or in a few weeks.
November 15th, 2021 at 8:13 AM ^
I will pray FOR him, but not TO him. ;-)
November 15th, 2021 at 8:43 AM ^
Looks like he may have avoided serious injury. Early indications are no ligament or structural damage. MRI today
