Brohm has officially met with Louisville.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:21 PM ^
haha...Didn't Brohm just say a couple days ago that Purdue is where he wants to be? Maybe he's working for a raise? I don't see how Louisville is an upgrade over Purdue.
November 27th, 2018 at 5:04 PM ^
How are those teams equivalent?
Not one of those ACC teams matches Wisconsin's, and probably even Iowa's success over the past 10-15 years.
November 27th, 2018 at 5:13 PM ^
Yeah, that's just nuts. You could even add in Northwestern. I doubt Syracuse has even averaged 5 wins over the last 15 years. None of those ACC teams have had a 10 win season in the last 10 years and NW has had 3.
November 27th, 2018 at 6:38 PM ^
I think people understand your point, but disagree with your argument
I would agree that it is more top-heavy and thus harder to win outright (Clemson, FSU) - but probably not better overall
November 27th, 2018 at 6:51 PM ^
Then both your first point and this point are dead wrong
November 27th, 2018 at 4:27 PM ^
The Brohm family has lots of connections to Louisville. IIRC, he played there, his brothers played there, his father played there, and his mother works there, or something to that effect. I read someplace that they are referred to as "The First Family of Louisville Football". Bottom line, I don't think Louisville is an upgrade from Purdue either, but I also don't think that's the attraction.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:35 PM ^
I neglected that fact....Yeah, he's gone.
November 27th, 2018 at 5:08 PM ^
I read somewhere recently that he even still has a house there.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:23 PM ^
Brohm turned down a scholarship offer from Notre Dame to play at Louisville, which was essentially a MAC school at the time.

When I first read it, I thought it was a smart way to word it because he could technically want to be at Purdue but want to be at Louisville more.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:32 PM ^
that's a bingo
November 27th, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
I thought the same thing. He gave himself an out on a technicality.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:29 PM ^
Louisville has had more success over the last 20 years and it's not even close the last 5-10. Better facilities, better booster money and also home for him.
I don't understand how Purdue could seem better and that seems to be a common sentiment around here. The last time they ended a season ranked was 2003.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:31 PM ^
You may not see it, but Brohm and Lousiville is very similar to Harbaugh and Michigan. He played at Louisville, he grew up in Lousiville, his dad played at Lousiville etc... It's his home.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:35 PM ^
I read that he promised Karlaftis’ family that he was staying at Purdue, so who knows.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:33 PM ^
So that means he won't leave until Karlaftis signs the LOI.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
Word is Louisville's offer was "surprisingly low" from the Brohm camp. Apparently they thought he'd take a low deal to help the university out in its bad economic times and he's not willing to do THAT. He wants to come home but yanno, not to live in his parents basement.
November 27th, 2018 at 5:26 PM ^
If Louisville figures out a way to fuck this up.....
November 27th, 2018 at 5:13 PM ^
Brohm to Louisville is like Harbaugh to Michigan. It ain't about anything other than if his heart is there, he'll go. And I think the heart is there.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:10 PM ^
Lol make him OC or better yet Co-OC. This is fantastic.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:15 PM ^
Fire all the black guys. Keep the white dude. Good look, SC.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
They've still got Lynn Swann .... not a coach .... but he meets your other criteria.
November 27th, 2018 at 9:53 PM ^
Lynn Swann is snow white
November 27th, 2018 at 4:22 PM ^
Boy, your life sure seems pathetic if that's the way you look at things.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:28 PM ^
I was just saying.... SC didn't fire ALL like the poster said.... not sure how that makes my life pathetic. I'm not SC, I didn't fire those guys. I don't even know them, why would I do that?
November 27th, 2018 at 4:32 PM ^
Intended for Salvator. Click wrong person. Maybe it was your username that confused me.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:56 PM ^
No but making a username on mgoblog just to troll after a game you and we have no control over does make your life pretty pathetic.
November 27th, 2018 at 5:05 PM ^
White people just can't take a good black joke anymore. What is the world coming to?
November 27th, 2018 at 4:55 PM ^
You view the world much too parochially.
I pity you.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:35 PM ^
Oh agreed! I can't believe the James Franklin rumors have started so quickly. I also can't believe they're keeping Helton in that position. Would be interesting to see Franklin head that way though.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:40 PM ^
Banned for your afternoon of trolling. Who’s your daddy now?
November 27th, 2018 at 4:46 PM ^
LOL mgowill = urbansdaddy = Jeff Brohm
November 27th, 2018 at 4:47 PM ^
HAIL YES!!!
November 27th, 2018 at 4:47 PM ^
If he knew his daddy, he probably wouldn’t be a useless osu troll on a Michigan blog.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:59 PM ^
Beautifully played.
November 27th, 2018 at 5:07 PM ^
A thousand times thank you.
November 27th, 2018 at 5:54 PM ^
Thank you! WolverineRX joined today, keep a close eye. Thanks again.
November 27th, 2018 at 5:54 PM ^
Now THAT'S funny.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
That you Urbz? You better make like a tree and get the hell out of here. Speaking of daddy. Don't you have a wife that needs a good whoopin? Sorry, I mean first cousin.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:18 PM ^
I had seen speculation about McElwain for Tennessee's new OC. Tee Martin would make a great replacement for him, but is the obvious choice for UT now.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:27 PM ^
No probs. We’ll replace Sharky with Kliff Kingsbury. He be in charge of the passing game and wooing recruits’ moms.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:33 PM ^
If by great replacement you mean a terrible assistant coach...he would indeed.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:50 PM ^
Terrible OC, great recruiter who has a good rep as a WR coach.
November 27th, 2018 at 6:14 PM ^
...yet the performance of the young, highly rated talent at wide receiver this year was one of the more disappointing parts of the USC season.
November 27th, 2018 at 7:14 PM ^
You know who make a good OC?
Thats right, Lane Kiffin.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:24 PM ^
Drevno, among other things, is handy with a vacuum, broom and dustpan, mop, dish towel, feather duster, and toilet brush. And he does windows.
When cleaning house, he's apparently a good man to keep around.
November 27th, 2018 at 4:34 PM ^
I thought Helton was the one that would get cleaned. He's getting the old "one more try, double secret probation" treatment that Hoke got?
November 27th, 2018 at 4:36 PM ^
USC alums are still in shock that Helton was not fired. Only logical reason is feelers went out there to potential candidates and they politely declined. But neither Swan nor Helton will be safe if USC has another terrible season.
