Damn. Clayton was a good dude. Quirky, Nerdy, but a good listen.
Oh yeah.. He always reminded me of a South Park character for some reason.
RIP.

Mr. Mackey vibes.
RIP Mr. Clayton. I enjoyed him arguing with Sean Salisbury. Whatever happens to that guy?
March 18th, 2022 at 11:11 PM ^
If I recall, Salisbury was a chronic offender of sending pictures of his genitals to female ESPN employees

The ol Salisbury steak
Salisbury said Clayton looked like the 'cryptkeeper' which Clayton didn't think was very funny. I think Salisbury was also trying to sexually harass the espn campus - also frowned upon.

John Clayton Dammit
My wife and I were at a bar in a restaurant in Issaquah, WA, and I look over and it’s John Clayton. He was alone just finishing food and a drink. I did not initiate any type of conversation out of common sense but surprisingly he started chatting it up with us. Just basic topics about where lived where we’re from. Just being genuinely friendly which is kinda rare in Seattle. Really nice guy. Very charismatic conversationalist.

Linky-linky
RIP the Professor.
Whaaa??? I had no idea he was 67, but he did always kinda look like he was in his mid-50's. What a great reporter he was. Whenever his segment was on, I took the info at face value becuase he didn't get into all the BS surrounding the games, just the facts. He was part of the crew that helped establish ESPN as a great, and reliable, network.
Unfortunately, as his generation moves on where stuck with asshats like Stephan A and his ilk.
RIP John - we've missed your beat.
This is very surprising to me for some reason. He’s been one of those sports commentator personalities that I’ve always just assumed would be there because he always has. Really enjoyed his reporting and his commercials were hilarious and showed a good sense of humor. RIP Mr. Clayton. 67 is way too young.
The Professor! I always liked him.
