New in-state offer: 2021 OG Rayshaun Benny
Michigan offered in-state offensive lineman Rayshaun Benny from Oak Park today. He's 6'4", 260 lbs. with offers from Kentucky, LSU, and Ohio State, plus others. 247 ranks him as a 3-star, the #30 offensive tackle, and #298 overall.
Here are his highlights (LINK).
He's a teammate of 2020 OL Justin Rogers, CB Enzo Jennings, and WR/TE Maliq Carr. No crystal ball picks have come in for Benny yet.

Oak Park will be a fun team to watch this fall - absolutely loaded.

They might even be fun to watch sober.

? perhaps that good, but why take that risk on a Friday night?!
I think he means that Oak Park gets absolutely loaded before their games.
It is at least a triple entendre. ? This could be my finest hour...
Yeah they will go 10-1 and not advance in state playoffs like usual.

Hopefully we can get Justin Rogers.
Don’t hold your breathe Thad
I heard that his name was found in the student directory, so I wouldn't be so dismissive.
What’s the word on Counterstrike?
That seems to be unlikely. Like John Kelly, he seems to want to go to Tennessee for some reason.
I don't follow recruiting that closely, but Tennessee's name seems to be coming up a lot lately. Are they the new Ole Miss where inexplicably (at least prospectively) they seem to suddenly get a lot of talent?
Jeremy Pruitt says, "Hey, I used to work for Nick Saban at Alabama," and players get interested.

Well - they have won two conference games in total the last two years.
And the Ole Miss media is saying that Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A&M are openly throwing money around. They would know.
mags,
kid looks pretty good for a sophomore. what is your take on his speed, hands, motor, etc?
In regard to his athleticism, I like him. He's got a pretty good motor, he likes to be physical, etc. His hands could use some work (he's a sophomore). He plays a little too high for me in the run game, so hopefully he can work that out. Depending on whether he hits a growth spurt or not, I think he's probably an interior guy, not a tackle.
I hear we are also offering his teammate WR: Joshua Jets.
oh, you sneaky devil.....

This guy has had a heck of a week, picking up offers in the last 7 days from OSU, LSU, MN, GA and UM. It shows he was offered by KY April 1, after he had an unofficial visit in March.
His highlight video is worth the watch just to see all of the pancakes and what looked like a near fatality for the defender when he pulled on a trap play.
A 3*?! We’re never going to beat OSU and UGA if we keep recruiting guys they don’t want! This is UNACCEPTABLE! Harbaugh MUST be held accountable! When are you people going to get it through your thick skulls?!
J/k ... /s
Did I do that right?
The kid has to be on cloud 9 right now ... let’s hope he chooses the good guys, continues to develop and flows down that Michigan Offensive Line Pipeline.
Go Blue kid, Go Blue!
