Michigan v Penn St BB Game Thread

Wagner is horrible.  Wasn't he supposed to be an elite shooter? The guy probably can't get his poopies to fall when he's on the toilet. 

Just a bad team, started the season hot and it obviously inflated all their egos. True colors are coming out, I understand Livers being out hurts but I dont consider him some savior of the season either. Teske and Simpson havent been the players the team needs them to be. 

Who would’ve thought Rutgers would be better at basketball than us this season

I really want to give Wagner the benefit of the doubt. Especially early in the season when he was coming off of a broken wrist. At this point in the season, I'm not writing him off, but I'm not sure what he adds to the team at all of his shot isn't falling. He's seems to slow to beat his man around screens and get his shot off quickly like we have seen many a Purdue sharpshooter do over the years. He just played the entire first half and I can't name a single thing he did except miss an open layup and an open 3pt shot. 

Another horseshit effort. This can't be all Livers absence. Coaching has to be to blame when every player gets worse during the season - opposite of the Beilein effect.

Can't blame the refs tonight. Just terrible play to blame so far. Terrible play is fixable, let's see how the team respond in the second half.

I don't understand why they're so bad right now.

Livers is a huge part, obviously, but it doesn't explain a lot of the stuff we're seeing from them.

This team just isn’t very talented. Don’t recruit at a level to lose 3 starters to Nba and 1 more to injury. Clearly we had a 6 man rotation last year, and 4 are gone. We really didn’t add anyone new that came in and were consistently able to do what any of those guys did. It’s an awful shooting team. Not Howard’s fault this team isn’t very talented, especially with Livers out. But, I do want more from him and concerned slightly. He doesn’t run any plays for key players. Teske needs more touches in half court in low post. I hate how sloppy we are at times, some of that is coaching. We need better. Big half for this team.

Maybe some layout drills would help?  I've never seen a program miss so many shots from 6 inches  over the years.

They’re about to be run off of their own count in a year B1G teams are almost unbeatable at home to a team that came in losers of 3 of their last 4.

What I dont understand is that we didnt have a single substitution the last 12 minutes of the half.  They look awful..shake things up for a change.  Play DDJ.  Play Cole B.  It's not like they could really do worse than that pathetic display  for the last 12 minutes

Coaching has been shitty for a month 

Simpson is terrible. So is the rest of the team. This game is over. Season is over. 

Teske is god awful. 7 footer who plays below the rim. 

I’m giving it until the first, maybe second TV timeout. But, this team looks done. 
 

And I’m ready to move on from Jon Teske. Is he the softest big man in Michigan history?

This could get ugly. Body language awful from many of these guys.

This team is a jumbled mess offensively, no identity and I have no idea what they are trying to accomplish on the offensive end of the floor. 

Wtf are we doing on defense ? We don’t take any angles away and guys off the ball not even seeing where the ball is

Just pathetic.  Heres to hoping Juwan’s recruiting overcomes his coaching deficiencies.

Livers could not make much difference tonight. This team is a shit show

These players aren’t talented. We have a PG who’s overrated af and can’t shoot. Livers is out. Howard can’t hit the shots for them.

Zavier needs to never take a long 2 again.  Good god we have to figure something out.  He needs to start drawing contact down low or get DDJ in there to drive and try the same.

Although how he didn't get a jumpball is beyond me.  They blow the whistle when a guy on the ground has the ball and another guy THINKS about grabbing it in a scrum type fashion
