This was quite unexpected since I believe most though that Michigan and Louisville were the favorites with Indiana continuing to underachieve and Miller being on the hot seat

I would be very happy to see Michigan land any one of the three in discussion here. However, I believe that Juwan is serious about moving strongly toward being as positionless as possible with the five who are on the floor-and, here, this points toward Akins...I hope this comes to fruition.
Optimistically, I believe Lander going to Indiana indicates that he is reclassifying and that those 100% crystal balls for Christopher are indeed truthful as well. And otherwise, it is going to be very interesting as to where this 2020 Michigan class finally shakes out-which may well include attrition from the current commits-ya never know...I believe Juwan would find room for Greg Brown too.

I’ve got a lot of confidence in Juwan putting together great recruiting classes just look at the guys he’s got coming next year, he’s going to be a pain in the butt to all other coaches on the recruiting trail.

Saw that Lander officially reclassified to 2020 and is still a 5*
