Michigan at Illinois single game tickets on sale now
Michigan at Illinois tickets went on sale this morning from their box office. 10 rows up near the 50 ran about 80-85.00 per ticket.
Good to know.
I plan on going, that's the only venue I have yet to visit of the pre-expansion Big Ten.
It's not a bad experience. Except when you go in 2009 and watch Roundtree get caught from behind at the 1 and each play after called a score then be overturned and finally watch Illinois March down the field and score thus effectively ending the game. Good times.
I was there for that game also. That was so depressing.
The Michigan coaching staff knows Brandon Peters. If he is the starting QB for Illinois I don't expect him to get much done against Michigan's defense. I really don't think there's going to be a revenge game like Joe Montana did to the 49ers when he was with the Chiefs, or what Brett Favre did to the Packers when he was with Minnesota.
I'm expecting the Michigan defense to look great that day. I'm expecting Michigan to dominate the game in every way.
The people who worry about Peters knowing our playbook also tend to forget that the coaches know Peters as a player, his tendencies, his mindset, how he thinks/reacts under this kind of pressure, that kind of pressure, etc.
So at the worst, its a wash between the two sides. At best, Michigan has a distinct advantage. I imagine there will be more components of the offense installed in Fall Camp, and over the course of the first 5-6 weeks of the season, that Peters will not be familiar with.
Between Peters' 3-4 month knowledge of the Michigan playbook, vs. our coaches knowing everything about him over the last 3-4 years, I take my chances with what Michigan knows vs. what Peters knows.
I'm not even worried.
Does Peters know the Gattis playbook? I assumed he wasn't heavily involved with the offense this spring.
Wow, that's a really reasonable price for a huge rivalry game!
Yeah.... er.... boy.... yeah.... bust out the popcorn.
;-) Oh, you did. ;-)
Especially on Brandon Peters Bobblehead Day....
Thanks for the heads up! Bought mine right about the 50 about 13 rows up. I'll certainly pay $80 per for that.
Brandon Peters or not, tickets will be available from the box office at the stadium five minutes before the game. It's Illinois lol.
But we're 'rivals' or something...
Got mine section 107 (around the 30) Michigan's sideline for $65. Could only get Illinois sideline midfield seats when I logged in this morning.
Has the Brandon Peters premium kicked in yet?
Tickets purchased, section 106, row 39. See you there!
The only game I may be able to attend would be @ IU. Single game tickets for Michigan went on sale this week.
No point to buy them now. By the time Michigan plays them will be undefeated or 1 loss Illinois will be lucky to have 2 or 3 wins meaning tickets will be dirt cheap
I am with you. Illinois was beaten very, very badly in some games last year. They ended up 63rd in offense, and 128th in defense. They can't have improved enough in one year to be competitive with a team like Michigan. Michigan will roll over them. I don't get the nail biting worry over Brandon Peters. He's a good QB. But that will not fix the lack everywhere on the team.
Depends on all the variables involved. If you have a specific number (especially a group larger than 4), it's not always so simple to get the seats you want last minute. To each their own.
