JJ Won't Be Attending the Draft in Person
Neither will Michael Penix and Bo Nix, for what it's worth. I'm assuming JJ will be back home in Illinois surrounded by family and friends - which very much fits the kind of person he is - but kind of disappointed we won't get to see him walking across the stage in Detroit.
Good for him and his family, though.

Michigan’s defense likely played a role in Penix thinking he may not want to risk sitting through a long 1st day.
This begs the question of why ANYONE would attend the draft in person. Got to hand it to the NFL..they have done a fabulous job marketing the commissioner reading names every few minutes as a "gotta be there" event.
