Both Cassius Winston & MIles Bridges have ISU & Michigan in their top 5.
Don't Hoiberg's decision matters much as they wouldn't end up there even if he stayed.
....and I wonder if him potentially leaving could affect Monte Morris (Flint-native who is arguably the best pure PG in the country... wanted to stay home but didn't get offered by MSU & Michigan favored Walton over him).
I could be wrong, but I think both Morris and Walton were offered the same day and Walton beat him to the punch.

Being in Winston's or Bridges' top 5 doesn't really mean much. Winston is considered a near lock to choose between us and MSU. Bridges doesn't have an offer.
Michigan offered and it was first come, first serve. Walton jumped and grabbed the spot.

Because Hoiberg knows Reinsdorf well when he played for the Bulls after the dynasty was dismantled, is good friends with Bulls Director of Basketball Ops John Paxson, and is a fellow ISU alum with Bulls GM Gar Forman.
He knows the Bulls upper management very well, and liked them, and the feeling is mutual. That's why.

Pretty obvious that's who the Bulls want and there is like a 95% chance he's their next coach. Not sure about the other stuff though.
They're that stupid there, so I certainly wouldn't put it past them.
Like most immoral, corrupt and generally very smelly organizations with a lot of success, OSU's issue isn't stupidity.
