Former M footballer extends gratitude to Harbaugh and the U
Football here did not turn out quite the way he'd planned, but classy of this guy to recognize that he got something more important out of it.

Impressed by his mindset of gratitude and reminded of the GK Chesterton quote “I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”

You know what you don't see enough of? GK Chesterton quotes. Great one here. Love his "do it again" quote from Orthodoxy.

For the great Gaels of Ireland
Are the men that God made mad,
For all their wars are merry,
And all their songs are sad.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. WHERE are the GK Chesterton quotations?
November 17th, 2021 at 7:39 PM ^
so many:
“Fallacies do not cease to be fallacies because they become fashions.”
“A dead thing can go with the stream, but only a living thing can go against it.”
“It is hard to make government representative when it is also remote.”
“America has a genius for the encouragement of fame.”

Here:
“To have a right to do a thing is not at all the same as to be right in doing it.”
“The reformer is always right about what is wrong. He is generally wrong about what is right.”

Will always root for Mr. Taylor. Class act.

That is terrific. Kurt's tweet sums up what college football and college sports for that matter are or should be about. Very classy. Thank you for sharing.

Compare this to OSU:
"I didn't come here to play at no school." -- Cardale Jones.
The Michigan difference!

Always seemed like a good guy with a positive attitude. He's from Georgia too. Good to see some parents are still raising their kids with manners down here. It's becoming a rarity.

Pretty cool. As I recall, he was one of the most grateful players I can ever remember to be able to wear the winged helmet.

One of my faves. His Rivals profile said "Built like a bar of steel".
247 says he went to Tennessee Tech, but he's not on their roster now. Anyone know where he is?

Good for him, I hope he finds a place to land and play for the next two years. I had hopes for him at Michigan because it was clearly an important dream for him to play here. I mean, the kid transferred to a bigger GA HS to play against better competition - I can respect that.

Petition to bring him back for 2 years as a FB?
JK he’s too small. Congrats to a great human being

I wouldn't mind bringing him back for a couple of years to get him through grad school. He's a great ambassador for the program and would help with recruiting however asked. Besides, what's one spot on a team with 85 scholarship players and a couple dozen non-scholar athletes?
