Film Analysis Ep 2.1 - Big Plays vs. WMU
Hey guys. Sorry for the late post this week, was busy tending to other things. Hopefully I can get ahead of it for the SMU week.
This episode looks at Michigan's big plays against WMU. 6/7 are on offense, with the 1 defensive play being Bush's thumping of the WMU RB in the hole on 4th & 1.
I'll be uploading another episode early tomorrow morning that will cover the plays with Michigan's back-up OL in the game.

So you’re saying there’s a chance...for our offense.
Great series Ozzy

Interested to see the installment with the backup OL as well.
Granted, it was Western Michigan and I therefore try to restrain myself from taking a lot away from this one, but I was actually kind of impressed even at that. Maybe I am alone in that.

Very nice!

Great job. The format you used really does a great job of showing the different elements that made a given play happen.

That is just plane excellent! Thanks so very much for taking the time and effort and very well done explanation. So helpful for watching tomorrow’s SMU game! One of the best posts I’ve seen in this forum.

If Gentry's blocking improvement continues on its current trajectory he'll be a high draft choice.

Is there a more beautiful play than play action in football (or any sport for that matter)? The fake the bomb the catch. So satisfying to watch. Incredible.

Love how you put this together and give me a chance to really absorb what everyone did to make each play successful. Looking forward to more of these this season!

Great work - many thanks for the outstanding breakdowns!

Love it. Thank you.
Great vision by Shea to see the WMU LB (34) drop to take away the slant and to adjust and find DPJ. Love that play.

I mean this as a compliment to the OP when I say that I think this should be posted as a diary, rather than on the message board. Not as in depth in the post itself but it’s like a video diary with good content and explication throughout the video itself. Well done.

I'm sure I'm missing something -- what warrants something being a Diary vs. a Message Board post? Is it since the content is more of a regular series that I'm doing and more "informative" rather than "news"?

Diary posts tend to include in depth content like this, and often they are recurring posts like yours. It stays on the front page longer as well.

Ah, got it. Will be posting these there from now on. Thanks!

Your posts are definitely diary worthy.

I don't know that much about football, and sometimes find the analysis by gurus like SpaceCoyote and even Brian a bit hard to follow. But I always find these little clips so informative. Thank you so much for doing it!
