The effects of this game

As I’m sitting here the only Michigan fan in a house full of Buckeyes all I can say is the silence is so sweet. The father in law already called it a night and went to bed, brother in law hasn’t looked or spoken to me in a few hours. One may get upset by this but, not me, this is glorious.

please know I realize this post adds nothing to the discussions but I just had to get it off my chest. This has been the sweetest day I’ve had with my in-laws in such a long time. Feels good.

I think the best part of the whole afternoon as the clock hit :00, was that my father in law told me to be a “good winner”. I told him I’ve put up with his back handed comments long enough about being a Michigan fan and would soak this one in and followed it up with a great to be a Michigan Wolverine chant. Truly euphoric.

I can totally relate. My father-in-law is a real fart-knocker regarding his commentary on the series. Stale jokes, no real knowledge of either team, thinking he's the smartest guy in the room. Well guess what, pal? I'm sleeping with your daughter and your grandson has never seen UM lose to osu.

Kevin13 has a grand idea.  I share your situation in that I am surrounded, like really surrounded by MSU graduates (brother, daughter,  son-in-law, brothers-in-law (3), 3 nephews, 2 nieces (one from each side of family.

So yes, the silence is deafening.  My brother (as fine a human being as there is) sent congratulations.

So yes, everyone is invited to my house to watch the Big 10 Championship game (hate to count the chickens before they are hatched but it looks good.)

My wife and in-laws are all OSU fans. It's just me and my three boys as the Michigan fans. They are good folks though. Not the type to gloat and run their mouths at all.

They invited us down for the game but I respectfully declined. The last several years I have just preferred to watch the game quietly in my own home. My boys watched it with me and cheered on Michigan the whole time, so that was really special.

Went over to the in-laws after the game and they were nice and respectful about everything. My sister-in-law even gave me a hug haha. While it was all "chill", it was nice to be the happy one for once.

My two year old said her first "Go Blue!" today! She was right there with me as I cheered my head off. Everything I did, she did. My wife gave me a "god help me" look.
