As the higher seed, shouldn't UM have had the earlier game and more time to recover before the next round?  I thought that was usually an advantage afforded to the higher seed?

So, my preference for this evening’s other three results…

The Michigan of the East… over the squad from Columbus.

Michigan Tech over Penn State.

In the “ack” battle, I prefer Merrim over Quinnipi…

Not sure what to pull for in Tech-PSU. Prior to yesterday, I would've preferred PSU because they'll play more to our liking and Tech has the risk of goalie-ing us. But after seeing Mankato go down 4-0 last night, I wonder if the CCHA isn't a touch overrated and Tech wouldn't be the preferred opponent. Penn State has beaten us this year and is more talented than Tech

Quinnipiac is on upset watch. Possible paper tiger vs. hot Merrimack team

Am I the only one that has no idea what the difference is between Hockey East and ECAC? I know that HE is the better conference and has the Boston teams, and ECAC is generally bad and includes all the Ivy league teams. But if you put the generic Northeast college names (Merrimack, QPac, Colgate) in front of me and told me to guess which conference they were in, I wouldn't be better than 50/50 in guessing.

I imagine the East coast fans probably feel the same about Big Ten/NCHC/CCHA.

It feels to me that these announcers have no idea how Ohio State plays.  They keep talking about the patient way they play clogging the neutral zone.  In reality they play a high pressure aggressive forecheck.

Looks like the incredibly talented high school team of freshmen and sophomores playing the less-talented, but way bigger and more experienced upperclassmen.

I was about to type, 3rd goal was DZTO, and Harvard goalie went way to the outside of net on the right to cover puck carrier, but he went too far, the guy passed the puck between him and post, and it was a slam dunk.
