Katelynn Flaherty Appreciation thread
Thank you Katelynn Flaherty for choosing Michigan and all you have done since you arrived in Ann Arbor. The 4* from New Jersey picked Michigan in order to help start the foundation of an elite program. During her 4 years she set the scoring record for Michigan Basketball, passing Glen Rice's 2,442 points on January 13th.
Flaherty led the team to the NIT Championship last year and back to the NCAA tournament this year for the first time since 2013. In her final game she had 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists against #2 Baylor in Waco.
Hear, hear! May she enjoy success in her future! Is she pro calibur in measurables?
From what I've heard and read (and I am certianly no Women's BBall expert), her size could be an issue for a lot of teams. She can certainly score, which gets her in the conversation. She'll have to be a PG at the pro level though because she isn't tall enough to be a 2. Just looking at draft mocks people have her going anywhere from mid first to late second round.
Women's BBall is different too in that its not at all uncommon for high draft picks to get cut before the season starts. If they don't pan out in traning camp, they don't have a development league to go to so they're just cut. Either way she should be playing pro ball here or overseas.

Did you say "measurables"???
How is her pad level?
Thanks for all the points Katelynn!!!
Thank you, Katelynn. It's great / to be / a Michigan / Wolverine, and to see a Michigan Wolverine excel.
I will miss that super-fast release and swish and the tough-as-nails competitiveness.
Thank you, Katelynn, for all you brought to the program. The points, the work ethic, the wins. She may be from Jersey, but she is a Michigan Woman.

Sucha a sparkplug. Gritty and graceful at the same time. Love her chemistry with Thome and Hallie Brown. Just not enough to overcome Baylor's titans - but augurs well with Deja Church and Co. in the future. GO BLUE!
