So who will be our QB for the bowl game?
If Peter's isnt' healthy do we have O'Korn with Sessa as backup?
November 29th, 2017 at 12:49 PM ^
I have no information to back this up, but I'd be surprised if Peters isn't healthy by then. Whether or not Harbaugh will play him is another question.
November 29th, 2017 at 12:53 PM ^
Peters would be starting the bowl game. O'Korn to back him up.
November 29th, 2017 at 1:35 PM ^
No reason to think otherwise, even if Malzone was staying.
Good for him to have a UMich degree. Hope he is able to enjoy playing at a school with a good Master's program in whatever it is that he wants to do.
If he is able to finish his Master's degree in 2 years, he will have a graduate degree fully paid for by football. That's fantastic for the kid!
November 29th, 2017 at 3:06 PM ^
But I hope O'Korn gets to play some in whatever bowl game we end up in.
It would be nice if he could end his football career on a higher note than what happened Saturday.
November 29th, 2017 at 3:48 PM ^
Wholeheartedly agree. I'm hoping for one of those dominant performances where the victory is a foregone conclusion by the 4th quarter, so that he can get a couple of series, maybe complete a couple of passes.
He's a decent kid, and I'd like to see him finish with his chin up, rather than flat on his back.
November 29th, 2017 at 5:09 PM ^
I really wish things had gone differently for O'Korn, and that he hadn't targeted Tacopants as receiver so often. But it would be great to see him do well in a bowl game, and be able to play a set or two of downs.
Really love what I heard from the Carr family, and also his interaction with other kids who are hospitalized.
November 29th, 2017 at 7:00 PM ^
I'd rather see Nick Sheridan come back and play during the bowl game.

As far as early departures...Crawford. On the fence.
November 29th, 2017 at 5:15 PM ^
I wonder why? He hasn't set the world on fire for sure, maybe the WR competition is influencing this possibility?
November 29th, 2017 at 5:51 PM ^
November 29th, 2017 at 6:42 PM ^
Yuck. He might be worried about getting passed (ok, he's already been passed and it is in fact getting late early for him) but he still has a lot to offer and I'd hate to lose him, flaws or otherwise.
Tough with all of the talent we have below him, though. DPJ was the #1 guy by the end of the season and Black was better than both of them before Black got hurt. I guess I sort of wondered if this would happen with Crawford or McDoom but hearing "on the fence" is still jarring.
November 29th, 2017 at 7:13 PM ^
That's kind of disappointing.
Hard to get them to come to AA and apparently just as hard to get them to stay.
Regardless, I hope he does whatever is best for him and has success wherever he lands.

is healthy why would he not start the bowl game? He was our starter and playing the best of all QB' when he was injured. I would fully expect him back for the bowl game and gaining more experience to have him ready for next year. O'Korn will back him up.

The concussion protocol will be long finished by then. Peters starts; we'll know for sure when he's practicing with the 1's.

Kolasar, a big lanky guy with some speed who can make good catches. I would like to see Gentry line up as a WR.
November 29th, 2017 at 1:04 PM ^
It just depends on how healthy he is and whether Harbaugh feels it would be best to give him more time. I agree though, I think he'll start.
November 29th, 2017 at 1:09 PM ^
If Brandon Peters is not healthy enough to play in the Bowl game, then we and he has much bigger problems than that one game.

November 29th, 2017 at 5:02 PM ^
is that if one still has concussion issues after two months, they may still be there after 10 months as well.
November 29th, 2017 at 4:08 PM ^
Peters could have played in the osu game IMO. I really hope he begged to play and he is that type of competitor. I have no medical knowledge other than he walked into and out of the hospital.
It is way over the top nowadays with concussion protocol, but it sounds like he had no ill affects from the hit.
I have had several concussions in my life and never had a helmet on. Of course I have been diagnosed with some psycho issues, but that comes from my work background and the violence.
I am sure Peters can take a lot more than that one hit. I do hope he gets better blocking or a sixth sense like I have developed from always looking over your shoulder to make sure no one is behind you.
Putting all the crap aside, i look forward to him having a great game against the cocks.
November 29th, 2017 at 6:27 PM ^
Considering you only saw him get carted off. There is no way you could possible know that. I had a concussion from water skiing. I seemed fine afterwards, drove home that afternoon, no obvious lingering affects. But I couldn't go out and play hockey for months afterwards without throwing up and migraines just by getting on the ice. After that, stress tests on a tread mill that would basically do the same thing.
There seems to be an implication that one hit couldn't be dramatic to somebody, or that if you can walk you are ok. Additionally, you seem to imply that if it is one hit it is somehow related "how tough" somebody is. This thinking is a couple decades out of date.

What we know is that he couldn't have played because he wasn't cleared by the doctors. Presumably that is because he didn't successfully pass the "concussion protocols" mandated by the NCAA.
November 29th, 2017 at 12:51 PM ^
O'Korn is still on the team for the bowl, like all the other seniors.
November 29th, 2017 at 12:53 PM ^
That's what he said.

Peter's? Really? It's his name. No apostrophe needed.
November 29th, 2017 at 12:57 PM ^
Now, now....this is Michigan, where we truly get a kick out of the old Saxon genitive in places where it does not really belong, such as in the last name "Peters". Also, "Ford's", "Meijer's", etc...
November 29th, 2017 at 12:59 PM ^
Lol, people who say "Meijers" drive me crazy

In their (our) defense, it was at one point called Meijer's Thrifty Acre. But Ford's, Walmart's, etc. drives me nuts.

with 'yous guys', the only yooper expression that i don't like.
November 29th, 2017 at 4:47 PM ^
After my Yooper accent faded and "yous guys" no longer occupied a slot in my everyday vernacular, I learned to say "all y'all" when I moved down south. I'm one of very few people who can naturally toss out a "yous guys" and "all y'all" in consecutive sentences if I'm in the proper mood.

The other thing with Bay City that drives me crazy is "I seen" instead of "I saw". Makes me want to scream.
