This. Swing by Allmendinger Park on your way over, if you yell something about MGoBlog at our tent I'll toss you a beer.

The Burns Park neighborhood east of the stadium will work, too. Just drive until you stop seeing PARK HERE $ signs.
Also, unless you want to be in a parking lot, avoid I-94 around Ann Arbor Saline road in either direction. If you're coming from the south, go up US-23 a bit and then drive west through town. Approach your parking spot (lots of good suggestions here) from the north. It will be worth the extra driving. Ann Arbor isn't that big.

and south of Stadium. Parking on the street is free. The later you get there, the further west you may have to park. But if you don't mind a little walk, it's fine. There are people who charge for parking in their yards in there, but that's up to you. It's maybe $20-$30.

went to the air show in Ypsilanti last weekend. If they don't get some of that construction cleaned up around the 23/96 interchange, game day is going to be really, really ugly around there for a few weeks.

park in a downtown structure (Maynard usually) and just walk to the Stadium.
I honestly couldn't say how much it costs. $10 maybe? But I stay for a long while after the game.

I usually park in the city lot behind Connor O'neill's and have a pregame/postgame beer or meal there or another place around there. A little hike to the stadium but should be a beautiful day.
Plus you can park the whole day for around 13 bucks.

Awesome title!

I park in the post office parking garage. Its a reasonable walk and its easy in and easy out, doesn't cost much either.

The answers will vary depending on whether you're coming in on 23, 94, etc. Be more specific and you'll get better answers.

Upgrade, at least.
I'd park south east of the stadium around Industrial/Stadium. You can find parking from $10-$30 depending on how close you want to be. But you're close to the golf course entrance off State if you want to walk through there and get some tailgating in.
At the end of the game, you can get back to 94/23 fairly easily by heading south to 94 or east to 23 (or both).

its been the Ohio State game and all the Buckeyes heading South but I have found parking South of the golf course area to be a complete nightmare getting out of town.
I usualy park somewhere else but OSU game brings in different game day scenarios for me, where I park is a breeze and I'm grateful for it.

I did come across someone near the California Pizza Kitchen at Briarwood throwing up in the back of a Dodge Ram after a game a while back, so if you hit the mall at the right moment, you get whiffs of the tailgate life, even if they are the less desirable whiffs.

Anyone know what time you'd need to be there to get parking at Pioneer?
September 8th, 2017 at 4:46 PM ^
There have been games where Pioneer won't let you in unless you have the season pass

The university structure across from West Quad. $20 and a quick out on Division to locations. east and north. Not great for getting to 23 south or 94 however.
I've just moved back to Ann Arbor and live west of the stadium near Stadium and Pauline. I plan to walk but how close can you get free street parking 30 mins to an hour before the game?

What time does the golf course usually fill up?

the stadium is the Ann Arbor Golf and Outing club. If that's the place you're thinking of access is off Stadium or Main. The U of M golf course is a good 3 wood down the road from the SE Michigan Stadium gate, access is off Stadium or State, its been years since i"ve gone there but I think they also have an access off Main. UM Golf course is much more roomy in my opinion, AAGO is a much better party atmosphere with cars parked much tighter together.

Wolverine Tower is free and where all the people (vendors, ushers) who work the game park. They even offer a free ride by bus to Crisler Center which is next to Michigan Stadium but pretty sure you need a ticket for the ride back. But the walk is only a couple miles if I remember correctly.

As others said, Ardmoor if you're trying to park as close as possible. Being that it's your first game, you may want to park in the Burns Park Area, around Olivia and S. Forest and that neighborhood. That way you can walk over to Hill St. to and see the vibe of the students and the sea of maize and blue walking towards the stadium, if you're curious.
