Josh Jackson avoids punishment
February 24th, 2017 at 10:46 PM ^
He doesn't get a felony because some other mystery man who was never identified and may not even exist supposedly cause the majority of the damage, so he gets off the hook.

Jackson is for sure responsible for the damage to the door and the tail light, which is estimated to cost more than $1000. So he should have been charged with a felony anyway and didn't.
For the record I would have had no problem with him pleading the charge down, I don't want to see a kid get a felony for kicking a car. I do have a problem with them deciding who gets charged with what based on the sport you play.

"Prosecutorial discretion" at its finest.

In Kansas, the Cris Carter fall guy can always be manufactured after the fact if it protects basketball wins.

Wait I'm confused. Is OP Wolverine Devotee??
February 24th, 2017 at 10:57 PM ^
No, it is a Bubba that aspires to be a Wolverine Devotee.

I was about to say - another WD avatar / persona on the board? Maybe that purchase of the "I Don't Even Guide For Dummies" was a smart purchase for the mod game after all, and I am rather serious about that too.
February 24th, 2017 at 11:16 PM ^
A rare mod double post.

What does the white text say then?

This confuses me. Stole your avatar? So you were purposefully sporting a Wolverine Devotee avatar while not being WD?
... Why ?
February 24th, 2017 at 11:48 PM ^
I think he's joking. Anyways. I got rid of that avatar after I turned 21, since it no longer was the 20 year anniversary of my birth.
Yep I know how douchey that sounds. And I don't care.

You should care.
Or the next 20 years of your life are bound to be as sex free as the first.
Then again, you did willingly type those words in and hit "save".

I'm not miserable at all. I am quite content, actually.
Nice logo, btw.
I'd bet $100 you'd never say any of your usual garbage to my face.
You are not a very intimidating person.
Neither are you over the internet.
I think he would say these things to your face. You don't. That's ok.

It's practice to drive screen views on the Bubba WD board.

Most days I am fairly confident I am not WD, then I'll make a bunch of posts, or be really jonesing for some good football or basketball news, and terror overwhelms me as I ask myself, "Maybe I really AM this WD too?"

Josh Jackson is the #2 rated player in the country for next year's NBA draft. I would bet he goes 1st.
He kicked some girls car a bunch of times and they let him off the hook.

I don't know why some OPs act like some random stories are such common knowledge that they need no context. Sorry, but the extent of my knowledge of Josh Jackson is that he was from Detroit. I certainly don't follow his personal life let alone his basketball career. Why would I be expected to know this story? I'm fine with this story being posted (in fact, I like random stories like this showing up) but would it kill the OP (who may or may not be WD?) to add 2-3 sentences explaining why I might care about this? It also seems that the OP is referencing other known facts not referenced in the story. Can we know more about why this is a "major legal break?" Unless I'm missing some details this doesn't seem much worse than, say, a football player sliding over the hood of a car Dukes of Hazzard style.
Anyway, that's what grinds my gears.

I remember how pissed most of the board was at Beilein for not even offering this prodigy out of Detroit. There was red flags with his mom magically getting a job with under armour, and them making a "pop up" high school basically for him in California.
In the 6 months he's been on campus, he's already been charged with this vandalism, and was also present when a 16 year old got raped in the basketball dorm.
Great ball player, but seems to not have the best choice in friends.

Obviously not every high-level recruit gets in trouble, and the coaches of Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky have some coaching ability, but Jackson and guys like him are one (just one ... not the only one) reason that Michigan won't be a Top Five / Top Ten basketball any time soon. (Yes, I think "Coach K" belongs in the same slimy category as Self and Calipari, though maybe not to the same degree.)
Jackson's educational environment past 9th grade or so is almost humorous. I don't blame him or his family, but he's made a mockery of "schooling."

According to the story, the damage happened outside of the Yacht Club, and I was expecting this instead....

I wish I had the ability to read minds sometimes.
I know that I'd be rendered comatose if I were to enter yours in an attempt to understand WHY THE FUCK you are compelled to post gifs about random words.

Joshua Jackson should have chosen Michigan...his vandalism would be much more productive!!!
