One Frame At A Time: Colorado
There's a veritable bounty of GIFs from the Colorado game. First, however, I'd be remiss if I didn't post the Harbaughs's star turn as milk spokesfamily:
And lo, there were GIFs.

The full Harbaugh mirror routine is here.
With those early contenders for the 2017 Jim Harbaugh GIF Tournament out of the way, let's move on to the Colorado game after the...
[JUMP like Jabrill Peppers over a prone quarterback.]
...jump.
There's a lot this week. The top "ten" is actually comprised of 27 GIFs, if my count is correct, and there are still quite a few honorable mentions. As always, click the links/stills to open each GIF in a lightbox, and don't forget to vote for your favorite at the end of the post.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Gedeon sack.
Butt signals first down.
Butt catch, run, and truck.
Harbaugh is peeved after the first missed FG.
Harbaugh declines interview, apparently.
Hurst sack.
Impressive Clark PBU.
Godin TFL.
Glasgow/McCray meet at QB.
Isaac sick open-field juke.
Isaac touchdown.
Awwww.
Speight steps up, finds Butt.
Perry's big catch-and-run.
10. Bradyception/Catch
Yes, I'm already doubling up on GIFs in the ten-slot; I had to find some way to highlight someone who isn't Jabrill Peppers. BTN's camermen did a fine job capturing Tom Brady admiring the work of... Tom Brady:
Before that, Harbaugh and Brady played a very precise game of catch; this is almost a perfect loop:
I got more requests for this GIF than Peppers destroying the Colorado bench. Guess these two are kinda popular.
9. In The Face, Darboh Edition
I love the way the Colorado defenders end up in an orderly line at the tail of this play:
Just the stiff-arm:
Darboh, as usual, putting that mutant muscle to good use.
8. Big Man On Campus/Sideline/Backfield
Future NFL DTs should not be physically capable of bending the corner like this:
Thank you, Paramus Catholic:
One day I hope to have the confidence to walk anywhere like Rashan Gary walks down the sideline:
For good measure, here's an authoritative TFL and Gary nearly getting another at the sideline.
7. A Punt Block, A Touchdown, A Celebra--STIFF-ARM IN THE FACE
The "slippery watermelon" play:
A great slow-mo celebration from Tyree Kinnel:
Grant Perry's similarly joyful celebration kept going despite a stiff-arm from Tim Drevno that might've been more powerful than Darboh's:
Alternate view of the punt block featuring the official making it rain.
6. That's One Way To Avoid Peppers
This punt hit #70 so hard in the ribcage it appears to stagger him.* I've... I've never seen that before.
[*I know, I know, he's engaged with an angry defender. LET ME HAVE THIS.]
5. Khalid Hill, Edge Maestro
You know this is a Michigan blog because I'm lumping two GIFs into one spot based on the fullback who's lead blocking on both. The one-handed swatting of a not-so-gung-ho cornerback that wiped out all of the pursuit on Chesson's touchdown got much of the attention:
Even more impressive, though, was Hill knocking the MIKE out of the play, then without missing a beat getting out to a safety—who for some reason went at Hill's knees instead of making any attempt to stop the ballcarrier—on De'Veon Smith's long touchdown:
If you're wondering why Smith didn't have to make a cut until the five-yard line, it's Khalid Hill. If you're wondering how he got into the end zone, Jake Butt hauled... well, you know.
4. Thinking Face Emoji Comes To Life
Apologies for embedding my own tweet but this is the best/only caption I could think of:

3. The Rest Of This Post Is Dedicated To Jabrill Peppers
I hope opponents never stop trying these:
Running to his side is also a bad idea:
As is leaving him unblocked:
Not quite a sack but good enough. Sweep in which his path defies centrifugal force. Going Norfleet.
2. Finally
Broadcast angle:
Replay:
Relief:
Alternate end zone replay angle.
FRAMES OF THE GAME: COMING IN HOT PEPPERS
Yes, it's the trainer getting destroyed. The more you look at it, the more you realize it's a pantheon GIF. Here's the full version that includes Scottie Lindsey, the RB with the Bob Ross hair, saying things to Peppers you're not supposed to say on live television:
There's so much happening here. The strength coach who sees Peppers coming, smirks, and then bails out before Matt Millen inexplicably draws an 'X' on him. The coach in sunglasses who starts out in the line of fire and completely exits the frame by the time Peppers arrives. Poor Damn Sefo Liufau. The offensive linemen who've once again failed to protect Poor Damn Sefo Liufau.
But let's hit the "enhance" button and focus on this poor, poor trainer:
That is a man watching his life flash before his eyes. The helicoptering hat and the "#BTNStandout" hashtag on this version of the replay both add something special to the experience, too.
Oh, hell, here's another angle with the kick return included. Yes, Peppers was shoved into the bench, so Lindsey should've directed his ire at Chidobe Awuzie.

Tomorrow I am having raw eggs on my fruit loops... Thanks Coach Harbaugh!

Well, by going at his knees he at least took out Hill. Otherwise Hill might have wiped him out and then moved on to any other defenders that were left, just like the MIKE.
Only problem is that there were no defenders left.

...that was my favorite play of the game. With all due respect to Peppers. But wiping out the linebacker and, without breaking stride eliminating the safety, is something I'm not sure I have ever seen before. The coaching staff sure has found the right spot for Hill. His blown assignment on the sack/touchdown notwithstanding.

I've seen Bobby Boucher do it.

I think the sack/TD was on Speight not reading the blitz. Hill was going out to the flat as an outlet.

I caught that during the game and I laughed. That's one salty guy...

I thought the Harbaugh explitive after the missed fieldgoal would make the top 10. Will be using that one often.

Those commercials are outstanding. Actually really impressed with how well Harbaugh does his "part."
Seriously thinking about getting some of that milk now.
September 20th, 2016 at 6:04 PM ^
It's good milk, we switched to it a month or so back from some other organic milk.
September 20th, 2016 at 6:38 PM ^
...born pitchman. He is outstanding. Makes you realize what he must be like in a recruits home.
September 20th, 2016 at 8:05 PM ^
I don't think he was acting.

I love this content, but maybe it's time to upgrade from small choppy gifs to smooth, higher res webms?
Now sites like gfycat make it super easy to make nice webms too. Just need to paste a YouTube clip and then use the sliders to select a chunk of time.

I had not noticed that, but the spinning hat might be my favorite part. It's like a cartoon in real life.

Add some hundred dollar bills flying out from the refs hands on that alternative view punt block gif.

Peppers coming in Hot was a great GIF*, but to truly appreciate all the moving parts, that is to say, fully appreciate the trainer witnessing his life passing before his eyes, the enhanced version is a must see.
Is it GIF with a g as in giant or a g as in go?
September 20th, 2016 at 7:59 PM ^
September 20th, 2016 at 9:56 PM ^
The G stands for Graphic, so I'd go with g as in go.
September 20th, 2016 at 6:34 PM ^
Those are all great, but the Drevno stiff arm to Perry made me LOL.
September 20th, 2016 at 6:35 PM ^
Glasgow/McCray meeting at the QB.
It's 5 Michigan defenders vs 6 Colorado blockers (5+the running back). Gary and Wormley destroy the edge of the pocket, forcing the QB to step up. Only problem is that Hurst and Glasgow destroyed the inside and closed the pocket from the inside. The only escape lane is swiftly filled by McCray. Nobody open, and nowhere to run. This defense is fun to watch when they execute.

When I watch that peppers sack all I hear is:
September 20th, 2016 at 6:51 PM ^
Every time I look at that punt hitting that guy in the back, I can't imagine how much that has to hurt--pads and all. Just blocking a guy, doing your job, and THWACK! Friendly fire from behind.
September 20th, 2016 at 7:26 PM ^
I just keep hearing "kidney shot!" in my head and being amazed he doesn't go down.
September 20th, 2016 at 7:05 PM ^
pitchout. When I saw it live, I just said wow! He spun that guy right around with the force of the blow. "Please OC, don't call that play again."
September 21st, 2016 at 3:30 PM ^
There is helmet-to-helmet contact on that tackle. I'm worried about Peppers getting a targeting penalty at some point this season. I noticed last week he had a hit that probably also could have been flagged. I guess if the running back lowers his head, as in this case, it's less likely to be flagged.
September 20th, 2016 at 7:08 PM ^
Watch number 23 at the end cussing an "F-You" at Peppers as he walks off after destroying them lol
September 20th, 2016 at 7:08 PM ^
It seems like he was simply vaporized with only a spinning hat left.
September 20th, 2016 at 7:08 PM ^
The Gary rawr! and headbutt with Peppers is the best. He looks like a T Rex.

450 degrees.
September 20th, 2016 at 7:25 PM ^
after far too many watchings, my favorite 2 bits of this are: a) the dude you don't even see until he emerges from under Peppers' left elbow and b) how completely nonchalant Peppers is as he gathers himself and the ball and gets out of dodge, seemingly taking no notice of the havoc he has just wrought
September 21st, 2016 at 8:49 AM ^
My favorite part is 76 attempting to hide behind smirking guy. Dude even turns around like "WTH?! you could've killed me!"
September 20th, 2016 at 8:06 PM ^
While Khalid Hill's blocking for Deveon on that sweep is my favorite play of the game, the hit Peppers made on that running back is my favorite hit. Holy shit did he hit that kid hard. Right in the grill and completely turned him around. Vicious.

Peppers was going to get a targeting call on the TFL on the pitch play to the left (the middle gif on #3)? I thought live it looked helmet-to-helmet and I thought on replay it looked like it too. Going back and watching it now it does look like he got his helmet to the side, but given how bad the targeting calls typically are, I thought he might be gone on the second play of the game. And in retrospect, that could have cost us the game. Thank goodness that wasn't called.
September 20th, 2016 at 9:59 PM ^
I love on the Jocz punt block alternate view, the one guy in the stands to the right that realizes what's about to happen first, celebrating before the players even make it past the blockers.
September 20th, 2016 at 9:59 PM ^
Obviously Scottie Lindsey was just mad that Peppers didn't sprout wings from his back and fly over the Colorado bench. I mean it would be reasonable to think he would have those kind of super power abilities just looking at the dude.
September 20th, 2016 at 10:00 PM ^
This is by far the best week...
I love Khalid Hill still, the punt return and reaction was amazing...but Rashan Gary's coming out party, those 3 gifs are AWESOME!
It took 3 games, but the big fella is quickly reaching an All-B1G level. Few kinks to work out in run support and IDing the play and he'll be the be right there.
In fact, I was wondering why we were starting Godin rather than moving Wormley inside and starting Gary and Winovich on the outside.
