I know there's no fans this year, but...a night game at Iowa on December 19, eh?

I saw Iowa vs. Michigan in 2009 in Iowa City for a night game, in early October, and froze my sack off.

So this is the Big Ten protecting their other ranked teams, to make sure they don’t lose again.

They want Iowa and Indiana to stay in the rankings so they get invited to more lucrative bowl games.

A lame and transparent money grub.

Pay the fucking players.

The BigTen is full of it.  They bent the rules for OSU and now bent the rules for 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, etc.  They just should have been honest and said everyone gets an extra game based on what we think will be most interesting.

Well FFS, just one thing to destroy this program.  Everyone else moving on from their coach will have a leg up on Michigan.  This season continues to be frickin ridiculous

This is a very good breakdown of the thought process we all assume they went through on the way to scheduling these games.

Having to make up two rivalry games was an unexpected wrinkle but it's good that they prioritized those above balanced matchups. In 100 years no one will care who beat who in these games, but the fact that the Bunyan's Axe and Old Oaken Bucket games were played will be remembered. I'm happy they figured out that it should be done. Had they not changed the rule to make OSU eligible for the championship game, it would have made total sense to play the Game this weekend.

EDIT: this was meant as a reply to SpartanInA2 at the top of the thread. Unlike most people in this thread who can't seem to think past their own nose when there is BPONE and something to complain about. The way this was handled by the Big Ten is perfectly reasonable. I'm no more excited to play at Kinnick than anyone else, but the needs of others in the conference outweigh ours right now.

Feels like a kick in the nuts from the B1G...

So use it as fuel, come out with an underdog/us vs the world mentality and play like your hair's on fire.

Turn the tide (somewhat) on the season. It's possible. I'm excited. Go Blue.

Who knows. Milton, McNamara or Villari lol.

Iowa's QB isn't a world beater either. Also their best WR left in a boot yesterday after an unnecessary front flip into the endzone.

Maybe Haskins runs wild? Maybe the D finally nabs a few TOs at critical times. Maybe 2016 Harbaugh shows up and lights a fire under the guys.

And maybe not ?‍♂️ I know I'll be watching either way.

Not because of him personally. I’m talking about morons that think like him and are in charge of the decision to keep him. Let’s face it if he wasn’t a fucking “Michigan man” bullshit his ass woulda been fired a month ago. I was sure that was obvious from my comment. Apologies. Forgot how many morons there are in the world.

Dude, seriously, I know you want Harbaugh gone. You've said it repeatedly in almost every thread on the board. But saying to "Pray for a 60-0 win for Iowa if you want harbaugh out" is pretty shitty. If nothing else, root for the players to succeed. Also, is it really necessary to call another poster a "delusional piece of shit" because s/he thinks a win could bring momentum to the next season? It's ok to disagree, but at this point you're like a child throwing a tantrum because you can't have your own way and other people dare to have different opinions.

Seriously, get a grip.

Rooting for the players to succeed means getting rid of their roadblock to success: Jim Harbaugh.

I was hoping the Rutgers kicker made that kick so we could move on already. The longer it drags out, advantage goes to Harbaugh.

It appears both Manuel and Harbaugh are prioritizing Harbaugh's career and ego above the Michigan football program and players.

I don't know what evidence needed is left if losing to terrible MSU and Penn State teams, getting crushed by Wisconsin, escaping Rutgers, and falling behind Indiana as a program was not enough. A 100-0 OSU blowout? Harbaugh is 13-20 overall in games that actually matter, and 36-2 in cupcake matchups.

He's not getting paid $8 mill to beat Rutgers and Maryland every year. We could hire high school coaches that could get that done.

Big Ten was upset that Michigan had to cancel the OSU game. They want to see Michigan get embarrassed in prime time. I hate this conference so much. Please just manufacture some more positive tests and get this game canceled.

What a load of crap.  I would probably watch the Pistons preseason game at 7 on the 19th, but this cements my decision to boycott college football next weekend.  There's 2 NFL games Saturday as well.

From what I’m hearing we have about 10 to 15 kids want to transfer out. So you know they aren’t going to care to be on the field. I see a 50 point beat down coming our way. Hoping it’s Harbaughs last game.

Who fucking cares. I’m focused on basketball until harbaugh gets fired. Pray for a 60-0 win for Iowa if you want harbaugh out. If you want harbaugh back next year then god help your sanity..

1.  B10 are idiots to schedule a night game.  This should be a day game.

2. UM got out of the ass whooping in C-Bus to have an Iowa team - at night, in Iowa, for our last game with you UM not playing for. Few weeks. Brilliant.

I read your comments and you sound like a bunch of little bitches!  STFU!

Don't come to MICHIGAN if you don't want to be on PRIME TIME TV.   Go play on ESPNU Bitch!

MICH needs to go down there and kiss some ass.  Go for the weeein!

MICH needs to flex on these guys and play their best game.

Again, STFU   GO BLUE!

Did we get the nighttime prime time slot because someone thinks this a great matchup or was it to punish Michigan with a night game in late December?

Maybe it is a reward for Iowa for staying healthy and getting all of their games in.
