Season ticket availability (list of available seats by section and row-range)
In the recent past, the ticket office only let season ticket holders add more tickets if they were picking up an orphaned seat (a single available ticket in a sea of unavailable ones). This year, though, the softening of demand led the ticket office to let people add any available seats (up to your maximum allotment of eight).
I went to the upgrade site and counted as accurately as I could how many seats were available in each section, broken down by range of rows. Having done that, I thought I'd post it here in case others were interested in that info.
(Personally, I want to improve my seats if I can, and I want to add a pair of seats--I currently have two tickets but a wife, three kids, and some friends I'd love to take to games).
There are 4,957 seats available. This doesn't count the student section, chair backs, suites, or seats that the university holds back for its own use, for single-game sales, the opposing teams allotment, etc.
Here is each section's total seats available. In parentheses, I break it down by group of rows. My count might be off be a little bit here or there.

Ticket demand for the 2020 season seemed lower than normal even before the pandemic effects started to show.
Given that they waived the deadline to commit to renew your tickets until after they figure out what's happening this year, I think that any effect from the virus wouldn't really show up in these numbers.
That's amazing. I can't believe idiots wouldn't renew season tickets over virus fears. What has become of our great country? We cower in fear from the flu now?
Easy to say if you aren't in a high risk group.
Also, the Atalanta v. Valencia Champions League match in February is seen as the catalyst for the CoVid outbreak in northern Italy.
If, as seems at least very possible, there are some fans but a significantly reduced capacity (say 20 or 30,000) how do they decide which season tickets will be honored?
Every ticket holder will be demanding one or both of Wisconsin and PSU, and will be (rightfully) furious if they don't get them. All these years of donations and paying for these tickets, you're not sticking me with Arkansas State and Maryland.
Can you post a link to the page where the available seats are shown? Been scouring the pages I've seen and can't find it...
You get to it by signing into your ticket office account at mgoblue.com. Once you are in there you click on a couple of things and it shows you a seat map of the stadium.
Got it, thanks!
I was in the seating selection site yesterday but it's not coming up this afternoon. I've tried multiple browsers with no luck. Anyone else having issues or is it just me?
It let me in and brought up the 3D map of the stadium but wouldn’t load the available seats.
I tried early in the day and it wasn’t showing the seats, but later in the day it did. Sometimes I need to clear my cookies to get it to work, though.
Apologies for the dumb question here, but what browser you used to view the seating availability? I've tried chrome and IE and the stadium loads, but the left-hand side is just a black bar and it won't let me select a section to view seats.
EDIT: I should read the whole thread first as it appears I'm not the only one facing this issue....It seems like the answer is try again later and clear cookies?
Please post if that works for you...I've tried multiple computers/tablets/phones/browsers and just get the same black bar and can't view any available seats in the stadium....
Same - I've even tried with a fresh browser.
Finally got it working - I used Incognito mode in Google Chrome.
I closed Chrome and tried again in normal mode and it was Ok. There was probably something wrong on the website for the afternoon, hope it doesn't happen on Monday !
I was able to get it to work last night. Hopefully, everything runs smoothly over the next few days!
