Would you go to the opening game?
Let’s say for a moment that everything came together and there absolutely zero restrictions, and the infection rate in Michigan is about half of what it is now, so around 200-300 cases a day. Sitting in would not be limited, it would be the same as it always was. So no social distancing.
Would you go to the opener?
Yes
You bet your ass I will be at the opening game. Then, I have to self isolate for 14 days after. That means I get to watch the next two games by my damn self.
It’s levels to this game, fellas.
Yes. One million times, yes. Although, the opener's in Seattle. My schedule wouldn't permit me to go to the home opener, but I don't think that changes my meaning.
I live in Seattle waiting for this game for years and would be there in a hazmat suit if necessary if they actually play.
Agreed, I have had my flight and AirBnB booked since February. I'm going come hell or high water, brother!
What if they require you to wear a mask?
Absolutely. I will be there!
Go Blue!
Do you live in or around Seattle? If so, do you want to meet up with me and my Army bro at Buckley's first? Let's do this.
The Friday night move would be to head over to Eastside Catholic to cheer on JT Tuimoloau.
We can't let him go to Ohio State.
Ahhh, I miss Buckley's. Lived in Seattle for 6 years. Buckley's chicken taco's are undefeated.
Hell yes. Absolutely
No. It’s the last long weekend of the summer. Burn it down weekend at the cottage.
You sound like a weenis.
I don’t recommend you burn your cottage down. There are all sorts of negatives with that.
Yes
.
Depends on what happens over the summer.
I’ll stay home. Cuddling up with my Sparty.
Kindly leave.
Nope. HD Big Screen TV would be just fine for me.
Sounds great. I would go.
No question I would be at the Big House.
Absolutely. Be part of history? Of course.
I'd get a Jordan brand Michigan mask made.
If a "Jordan Kovacs" brand Michigan mask existed, I'd be the first in line, both to buy the mask and then to go to the home opener*.
For that Jordan brand you're a shill for? NO.
*I haven't missed a home opener yet ever since I started getting my season tickets in 1977. Not even pretending to know if and when the 2020 season might begin (Sept? Oct? Next Spring?), I still plan on going, but part of my plan in a sure-to-be less-than-full Big House is to seek out seats in the emptiest sections of Michigan Stadium. I'm in my 60s and as a higher at-risk fan, I will do everything I can to satisfy my addiction to Michigan Football while trying to be able to "rinse and repeat" for the next home game on the schedule.
Yes
Yes, 100%! No questions asked!
If the opening game against Washington is a go, sure I'll go
That's one game that I had started preliminary planning for travel, tickets and accommodations around the first of the year. I cancelled those thoughts and plans several weeks ago, as I just can't imagine making a trip to any away game this season, let alone that soon and that distant. And it's been over a dozen seasons since I've NOT attended at least one road game.
Same here, I really wanted to go to this game. I just cancelled it all too.
Open air stadium? Yes.
If it were indoors, no way
Yes
Hell yes, even if I get the 'rona. Time to start living life
Yep, but I'd go to the game now, so I may not be the target audience for this question.
No, not unless I have the antibodies.
I hear the new Roche test is highly accurate. Hopefully they will find out having the antibody offers protection.
Yes. But I would not invite my Mom or Dad at this stage.
But would you go to their house when you got back?
No. It’s been tough on my Mom who is a big hugger but when I visit we sit outside apart.
No.
Unless the tickets are free. And in a luxury box.
Nope... Big Screen TV at home, food, I can hit the gym and workout... and after the game is over I can watch other games that matter.
As I get older I realize, it's more important to spend time with family and friends, rather than trying to relive my college years; which I spent 99.9% studying anyways... don't wanna relive that shit.
Besides, until Michigan turns the program around, I have no desire to see an "AVERAGE AT BEST" program.
Honestly... my next big sporting event will be 24hr Le Mans... I've always wanted to travel there, and always wanted to camp out and cheer on Porsche!
No one's asking you to change your life, it's 1 Saturday
Fairweather fan.
This is why people don’t like you, walmarter.
Tied for 8th most wins against FBS opponents over the last five years out of more than 120 teams...not sure you know the definition of average. But keep hating on the program if it makes you feel better
100% yes and without reservations. And my wife and kids (8 and 12) would be there too!
In a heartbeat
Yes. The odds are I'm going to get the virus anyway, might as well do it at a Michigan game.
Yehehehehehehehaaaaaaassss!
I actually enjoy the home stadium (beer + no bathroom lines) to the actual stadium so I've been going to less games lately.
The bigger question I think you are posing is would you be comfortable going to a large gathering under those conditions. If the risk was only to myself, it would be a 100% yes... but until testing becomes more readily available/accurate it is probably going to be a no.
