One Frame At A Time: Middle Tennessee State
They're baaaaaaack.

THE WHOLE ALBUM
10. The Tifo, The Tifo, The Tifo
Students, you have one job now: unveil a Murderwolf tifo.
9. Touch The Banner 2019
Impressively synchronized effort by Lavert Hill and Khaleke Hudson.
8. Truck and Roll
Did the refs miss Christian Turner's knee going down? Did #33 get blasted so hard he's calling for a sub before the play is over? Yes and yes. I care about one of these things.
7. Leaving a Wake
Just a rough day in general for MTSU defensive backs trying to stop moving objects.
6. I Thought He Left
I could've sworn the license plate on that truck said "BUSH 10," officer.
5. Charbonn-ayyyyyyyy
That initial cut is pure filth.
4. Tru Sacrifice
Tru Wilson took one for the team. Meanwhile, let's take a closer look at Tarik Black's release:
Five steps behind the line of scrimmage, no wasted motion, going forward the whole time, massive separation. The defensive back eventually fell down but he was already toast.
3. Full Go
It's great to see Ambry Thomas healthy and also making very difficult plays look very easy.
2. Mossed
Number three really did not run himself into optimal position here.

That entire Charbonnet run was pure filth.
I can’t stop watching it while smiling.

My favorite part is the ball protection on tackle. I'd love a home run every time, but most runs aren't - seeing a back know how to protect the ball when a tackle is imminent warms my Maize & Blue Hart.

I can't get over the transition from helmet touch stiff arm to pick-up-your-feet acceleration.

I was looking to see if he switched hands at any point. He didn't because he didn't need to, but I did like how he covered up the ball. No fumbles!

Ditto... I had many concerns about RB given UMs past struggles in recruiting high value guys AND actually seeing them perform on the field. So far, at least, that question is heading in the correct direction.

That's some quality steadicam work on the banner run. Was the dude running backwards or was that an over the shoulder job?

Could it be a drone?

This image is from a Patrick Barron tweet that included a few other images so I isolated it. If you’re on twitter go follow him and Eric Upchurch. They are M photogs and and post a ton of game day images.

If you don't have the scratch for a freaking exoskeleton like this, the new camera gimbals on the market are so flipping cool. Getting more and more reasonable for a decent unit too.

That's got to be more than a little terrifying.

OMG I actually missed the tuck and roll when it happened. He destroyed that guy. Let's hope to see more of this each week!! Go Blue!

The crazy part I missed was he made contact with 3 guys and put them all on the ground, but it was a 4th guy in pursuit that he ended on top of to (almost) avoid being down.

van summeren is lucky he didn't get called for a helmet to helmet hit on tarik black

Not only was the DB Mossed, there was a bit of a Roman Helmet/Tea Bagging involved

Thanks, Ace. Missed these during basketball. Glad you are back and healthy.

Looking forward to the first Juwan gif.

We've got some dudes!

Dont typically love huge, violent hits but that trucking of that safety by Turner is quite juicy to watch. The whole 'calling for a sub while the play is live' is fantastic.
September 3rd, 2019 at 12:41 PM ^
I missed the defender calling for a sub. Thanks for pointing it out.

It is literally in the words in Ace's post

At work. Didn't have time to read everything, so just watched all the videos. But thanks, I guess.

First-time commenter, long-time lurker. Wanted to pop in and say thanks Ace for these! These were my favorite when I first found the site and was pretty giddy when I logged in and saw the title of the post!

Actually the tuck and roll destruction reminded me of when Jabrill went all destructive on the sideline of either Western Michigan or UCF- demolished one of the coaches. It was on one frame at a time too.

Glad to see this feature back -- a great job with the clips!!

Dap Execution perfectly describes this game... Good things were happening, but the execution just wasn't quite perfect.
Win and Improve. Go Blue!

Yay, OFaaT! Glad you're back, Ace, really missed these. Hope to see many, many, many more!

McKeon's block on their DE was spectacular. That's not an easy assignment, but he got his feet and head across the bow, then shuffled into position so Charbonnet could cut off his butt. If McKeon doesn't make a flawless block, it's a 3 yard gain.
September 3rd, 2019 at 4:25 PM ^
That's all on VanSumeren
September 3rd, 2019 at 4:36 PM ^
Write-in vote for Ryan Hayes bulldozing the DE on 3rd and goal for VanSumeren's score, creating a gap on his own and preventing another 4th and goal uneasiness.

Ace - I wish you could have seen my smile when I saw that One Frame At A Time is back.
Go Blue!
