WSJ - Merge Mich & ND
From the halls of sarcastic and stupid, and continuing the trend of major publications highlighting Michigan's recent futility, the WSJ presents a proposal to combine the football teams of Notre Dame and Michigan. The mental image made me throw up in my mouth.

I laughed at "ChaRod."

did somebody really get paid to write that?

Lighten up Francis. Both our football teams are terrible. We need humor now more than ever.

I just didn't see a terrible team on Saturday. I saw a young team, and a quarterback who has to calm down and feel more healthy and confident. Definitely not terrible.
Notre Dame, on the other hand - they're terrible.

Please don't laugh. We're as serious as Bill Belichick on fourth-and-two (or as Yale was on fourth-and-22 Saturday in what will forever be known as the Harvard-"Fail" game)lol, they lost my interest here

in the newspaper industry, the WSJ and NY Times should merge. Their situations are more dire than Michigan and Notre Dame's in football.

Lighten up. It's some much needed humor after a long season.
"Meanwhile 6-5 Notre Dame fell in double overtime to plucky UConn and is installed as a six-point underdog next week against the Wildcats from High School Musical."
"The consensus is that Notre Dame's Charlie Weis will be evicted and Michigan's Rich Rodriguez may cling on for one more season, in which he must beat Ohio State, win a national title, a Super Bowl, an Oscar and invent a hangover-free Scotch in order to save his job." - I know Tom Hagan agrees.

I think Jason Gay has a lot of issues involving the need to prove himself. Sadly for him, all he proved was that he won't be hired to write for SNL anytime soon.

People said Murdoch wouldn't ruin the WSJ, but the proof is in the pudding, it seems.

It's just not funny. At all. Like, it's kind of embarrassing that all those words were spent on an idea that's only mildly amusing as a headline. It looks like they recruited someone from the Onion, gave them a lobotomy, and then had them write the article.

Between M, ND and Yale, we'll take the traditions, the money, the all-time wins and best winning percentages over any other teams the MSM doesn't want to make fun of.

This is actually pretty funny. Almost Onion-worthy. I sent the link to a friend of mine in the ND grad program. He should get a kick out of it.

If we are going to merge can we merge with a team with a defense please? Jesus who wants to combine their D and ours? It reminds me of an old Engineering Equation - Mud + More Dirt = Mud!
Now Nebraska plus M might be a merger worth having :)

Saw this article while I was reading WSJ this morning, and have to say that it is one of the worst ever seen on the site.

a nice tall glass of STFU.
