Who is the best pro prospect in the '12 UM senior class?

I'm going with Koger. Good size, speed, and hands. I think he is going to have a good 10-12 year career.

Thoughts?

One of the last Rimmington winners, AQ Shipley, got dragted in the 7th round when he came out.  Was with the Steelers, got released, now I think is on the Eagles practice squad.

Personally I think Mike Martin is the best pro prospect of the class.

I'd like to see where Molk is 3rd rounder...everything I've seen has him at 6 or 7. The earliest I've seen is the 5th round.

Mike Martin is the best pro prospect on the team. Kevin Koger has to catch the ball consistently and didn't have the production due to the offense we ran for 3 years.

Martin is the highest. He carries roughly a third round grade but has a chance to move into the late 2nd round. Molk grades out somewhere around the 4th or 5th round because he is undersized as a center and appears to have maxed out physically.

Just fwiw Craig Roh is currently our highest pick. I have seen him as a second rounder on some sites.

And say Mike Martin.

<br>As for Koger, I think he's got a good shot and has all the skills to be a good NFL TE, but 10-12 years would be a LONG time for him to last in the body crushing NFL.

Just to be different, I'm gonna say RVB. He certainly won't be our highest drafted player, but I think he could really be a difference maker as a solid rotation guy. I think he's gonna be the guy who late in games make big plays because he's fresh going against a tired OL. Plus we've seen this year how incredibly intelligent he is on the line. I think he'll surprise some of the naysayers. Or maybe I just wanted to say someone other than Molk and Martin.

Martin hands down. If he slips out of Round 3, it's thievery. I think he's going to test great at the combine. Could play either 3-tech in a 4-3 or DE in a 3-4 at the next level.

I love Odoms, but he's been very unproductive for the past couple seasons.  He had more catches in 2008 than he's had in 2009, 2010, and 2011 combined.  Most other tiny receivers who have made it big in the NFL were extremely productive in college.

Dave Molk.  A good center is a premium position of importance in the NFL and Molk with  is combination of aggressiveness, smarts, use of leverage and athleticism as well as his remarkable consistency leads me to believe that a 10 year NFL career is in front of him.  The others such as Martin and Kogs could do well, but on a lessor level imo.

Molk's problem is that he's really only going to be draftable by zone-based teams. At 6'2" - 286 (that at least his listed height/weight) he's just not big enough to be a drive blocking center. The Senior Bowl type things are going to be really important for Molk, as he's got to show the ability to anchor against pass rushing DTs.

Really the only ones that are currently being projected to be drafted are Molk and Martin.  The rest of the guys are great leaders and Michigan Men, but the reality is that they probably won't get drafted and won't end up doing much.  It kind of sucks because I really think that many of these guys, especially the defensive guys, could probably have done something if they had Mattison as their coach for all 4 years.  I just think that people like RVB, Ezeh (I know that  is last year), Mouton, and others  could have been a lot better and actually gone on to productive NFL careers.  But alass, we are just getting back into the NFL factory that we once were.
