Stokes and Hawthorne
As bad as I feel for the coaches and players,Stokes and Hawthrone are the ones I really feel for. Like oach said these kids done nothing wrong, but yet their names are on it. I cant imagine how those 2 guys feel after being sucker punched by ADULTS! I dont know how their teammates feel about this circus but if I guessed I bet they have their backs just like we all should. I will be cheering even harder for Michigan this year but there are 2 guys that I will be cheering even more for. These 2 guys some like stand up kids from great families,I just hope they know how much their Michigan family is standing behind them also. Go Blue!

I've spoken with some of the players, and one of the freshman involved. He is VERY upset about all of this, obviously. Everyone I've spoken to have said they have his back, and have no ill feelings towards the two.
I said this in another post, but I really think this is going to help bring this team closer.

Tom - Mitch Albom accused Brian of not being a reporter because he doesn't go out and conduct interviews. While Brian is a blogger, he does have resources such as you who he has been in contact with as long as I've been reading mgoblog. My question for you is, would you be willing to join Brian the next time he is on WJR (this weekend?) and prove that this blog does go out and actually interview people and does, frankly, a better a job than most "legitimate" newspapers?

I don't know if Brian and/or WJR want that, but yes, if they asked me I would definitely do it.

isn't fit to eat the peanuts out of Brian's shit.

I would also file this under "bring the team closer" if, and only if, we had a veteran team with a lot of depth.
Unfortunately we have a lot of young kids and not much depth on defense. I think this whole thing has served as a huge distraction when our young kids should be 100% focused on getting ready for the game this weekend.

I for one disagree with your assessment. I think that I would rather the team have this as motivation going into this weekend. If I were on the team, I would want to go out and prove how hard we worked to get to this day and back up our coach. To be perfectly honest, I have a feeling the players of not even very concerned with the developments because they are the ones who know the truth. They have no reason to fear punishment if the circumstances are as they are slowly appearing to be. They will be pumped as fuck, and quite frankly the energy at the Big House on Saturday should be enough to make Bo smile.

Great to hear the team is behind them!

Yes, thank you Tom! Its great to see all the added traffic to the site since the FREEP debacle. Hundreds of thousands support them still and I expect any of you who will be there with me to be loud in expressing that matter.
GO BLUE!!!!

I had to say something to make you laugh...the unprofessionalism of the Free Press is unreal.

haha...that was a good one! I didn't get it at first, then saw your name, and put the two together.

This burns me more than anything. Rosenberg and Snyder and the Freep used these quotes knowing full well it might destroy these two Freshmen.
I feel Rodriguez should have had a Mike Gundy "I'm a man! I'm forty!!" comment saying how he was was going to protect his players from this kind of crap.

best. rant. ever.

It was. It also served a purpose. He basically proved that he wasn't going to let the media in Stillwater treat his players that way.

Edit: mbrummer beat me to it, and I didn't even notice.
Shame on me.
