Regional Hockey Tickets - Bridgeport, CT

Submitted by medals on
Just a heads up for all Mgoblog East Coasters. I just picked up tickets to the regional hockey final on Saturday in Bridgeport, CT (which I just learned is about a 90 minute train ride from NYC). The Web site indicated that there were no tickets at this time, but I called Ticketmaster and got 2. I'm in Section 116. Hopefully I won't be in the middle of a bunch of Yalies.

I am going to be in DC during the Frozen Four. Anybody know whether or not I can expect to pick up tickets that weekend, or do I need to buy them from a broker? I know Brian has said in the past that tickets are usually available, but I wasn't sure if this year would be any different. DC seems to be the only town that has any money at this point. Thanks in advance for any info.

You can get Frozen Four tickets through the Athletic Department when we make it. They will be releasing a limited number of them. Otherwise, you're SOL. The Frozen Four has been sold out for over a year. What you can do is not go to the semifinal and buy finals tickets from the loser of the semifinals games. Since I have semifinal tickets but not finals tickets, that is what I'm planning on doing.

Just found out that the UM Athletic Department is selling tickets in Section 113, but only all session (Fri & Sat) $75 seats. The puck will be dropped at 6h30 on Saturday.

Got my tickets! Glee! I must admit I've never actually been to a college hockey game, Michigan or otherwise. It's not exactly Yost, but still. (My brother happens to live near Bridgeport and I'm only about two hours away - I'd be nuts to pass up the opportunity. But they better not blow it on Friday or I'm scalping them to some preppy rich Eli bastard.)
