OT: Who plays online poker and where?
I used to play regularly on FullTilt and PokerStars, but when the Justice Department shut it down I quit playing. I just started up on Carbon Poker, but wonder if any of you play or know of other sites that might be better in terms of bonuses, rake back, fish, etc.
Input appreciated.

And don't forget about Harbaugh.au where everyone talks with Australian accents.

I bet you'd get negged less if you told us where Harbaugh plays.
Edit: beaten to the punch!

And to be honest, I haven't played on it for about a year, but all my friends still do. I switched to topbet just fior their sports betting purposes, but from what I remember when playing poker on bovada, the poker had a lot of players and a ton of rooms (could do some real cheap heads-up games that gets you great practice)

whose wife surprised him one day with $300,000 or so online gambling debt. Fuck that. That shit would be too much like playing an innocent video game.

To get to 300K they must have one impressive limit on their credit card that's for sure.

If she had the black card, the husband prob could've afforded the debt.

Payday loan to fund an online account. Loose the money. 8000% loan blows you up. Boom.
December 9th, 2014 at 10:02 PM ^
Yuuuup. Payday loans, as they currently exist, should be illegal.

How do you pay for online poker now? I played Full Tilt and Pokerstars years ago and you had to get a Canadian bank account to join. It was a pain in the ass and a big reason why I quit. It was too much trouble to play the small games that I was interested in.
December 9th, 2014 at 3:50 PM ^
The Justice Department just shut down the big three: FullTilt, PokerStars and Party Poker.
EDIT: sorry, i misread your reply. you can pay with a prepaid visa card.

That happened three years ago.

the crackdown on internet poker has to be one of the lamest things our governemnt has done recently. I could maybe understand it if they didn't already sponsor gambling in the form of lotteries in every state.
December 9th, 2014 at 3:41 PM ^
They should find a way to tax withdrawals. Just need compliance from the poker sites.
December 9th, 2014 at 4:31 PM ^
The poker sites have been begging to be regulated. Compliance is not the issue.

so you can't take player notes?
i like that option.
December 9th, 2014 at 7:26 PM ^
you can take notes each game on a player which I do often. but since there are no screen names, there is no note history from game to game. I like that because I win a lot so nobody knows who I am each game. also, same for sharkscope, nobody can check to see my good ROI which I like.

poker in the rear.

December 9th, 2014 at 6:42 PM ^
you can take game notes but they only last during the game. huge advantage for me because I win a lot and it's best to stay under the radar. same with sharkscope, nobody can see my ROI which is good.
December 9th, 2014 at 6:58 PM ^
under the radar works both ways.

I started playing Bovada About six months ago. I made my deposit with a Visa credit card, I believe from Citibank. It was initially rejected but about30 min. later I got a call from the credit card asking me if I had intended to make the deposit, and then they put it through. I haven't tried to catch anything out.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and don't gamble.
I've never had gambling problems, but I have seen people lose BIG like their house.

There are so many good resources that can help. For example, I read reviews at CasinoTopNZ because it has a very convenient system. It helps me to find new places to play poker because I want to become a professional.
