OT: Video of One of the Best (Baseball) Catches (I've) Ever (seen)
I'll start by posting this here:

...and asking for someone to embed it for me (I'm posting, as usual, from my phone).
I've been wanting to post it all day; unfortunately, though, other things have kept me busy. But please take a look and tell me if you've ever seen a better HR-robbing catch. The closest ones I can recall seeing are one by Mike Trout, a few by Curtis Granderson early in his Tigers career, and one by Austin Jackson. Simply put, this is ONE AMAZING CATCH! (Only drawback is that it doesn't count, though it does show the awesome defensive talent of this 19 yr old future star.)
I've seen Greene play twice, both times last August at WM Whitecaps games. In the first of those two games, he didn't do much offensively but made two very impressive diving catches, following one of them with an equally impressive throw. In the other games, he was driving the ball all over the field.
Greene is just one of several reasons I'm much more optimistic about the future for the Tigers than I am of the Lions, Red Wings, and Pistons.

Clicked thinking about Jason Avant vs Northwestern. This one is good too!
I also clicked thinking, is it Avant or Woodson?
Yep, was waiting for Woodson interception. One of the most incredibly athletic plays I've ever seen.
Odell Beckam's one hander in MNF was also absurd.
Which interception? Michigan State? Washington State?
I lied.
My 'friend' didn't really hook me up with someone.
I lied.
I'm sorry.
We always knew.
I left you a message a short time ago in reply to another of your posts today, PonyC.
I agree with you about the future of the Tigers over the other Detroit franchises. If the Wings had not been screwed in the draft lottery, I might have changed my opinion.
I live near Toledo and I was excited to go to a bunch of Mud Hens games. They were gonna have a nasty rotation with Mize, Manning and Skubal.
Nice to see that kind of effort in practice!
Wow! That was spectacular, on par with the one Greene made today. I hadn't seen the Matthews catch before just now, thanks.
Always been amazed by the Jim Edmonds catch
Yep! I have seen that one before. That's Willie Mays -level brilliance.
How is Greene's catch in a league with Matthews? The guy climbed the wall.
Have you looked at the timing and especially the arm extension Greene had to make on that play? He put all the elements precisely together to pull it off. I doubt most MLB outfielders make that play.
The Matthews catch is something special, I certainly don't want to diminish that one bit, and it was in an actual game. One fantastic play, no doubt.
The Greene catch is good. I think climbing a wall you're charging while tracking a ball over your head is much more impressive.
Watch a Ken Griffey Jr. highlight video. Not sure that catch would rank in Jr’s top 5 defensive plays.
The Matthews catch is unreal...even the arm extension and angle are crazy. That said, go watch some YouTube of crazy catches in the Japanese baseball leagues. They literally climb up the wall to make some insane grabs.
How would this catch rank on a scale of 0 to “Marquise Walker against Iowa”?
Okie dokie, I've been schooled.
I'll edit my title.
Oh, I wasn’t trying to dog your title. It just gave my brain an opportunity to ponder Marquise’s catch. Big +1 for “okie dokie”, ya really don’t hear that phrase enough nowadays.
Was about to post that as well. One of the great in-game catches given the situation and the defense I've seen.
Hit taco pants dead on with that throw.
Greatest catch ever??? Lol, do you really think that?
"One of the best catches ever" isn't quite "Greatest catch ever".
Like I just finished replying to someone else, time for me to edit my title a bit.
Tough crowd here tonight. ?
[edit: I now hate (parentheses). That's one ugly-looking title. ]
that's a heck of a catch, even more so for a 19 yr old kid.
but,
Marquise Walker vs. Iowa 2001.
