OT: Lane Kiffin possibly strikes again

Submitted by Goblue89 on
The SEC released its coaches All-SEC team yesterday and their were 3 unanimous selections. Left off from that list was God's son Tim Tebow which begs the question, which coach didn't vote for Tim? Coaches can't vote for their own players so Houston Nutt could not vote for Jevan Snead the only other possibly candidate for 1st Team All-SEC. This has many believing that Lane Kiffin is the coach who didn't vote for Tebow adding fire to an already burning rivalry. If this is the case, Lane Kiffin is one cocky SOB and Florida is surely going to put up 60 on Tennessee. This is hilarious!

I think it would be hilarious, but you never know. It could have been Nutt just trying to screw with the system and voting for someone like Mike Hartline or Ryan Mallet or something.

mind too when Kiffin called Meyer out for cheating a couple months ago. Meyer seems to be the type to take this personally, and if the Georgia game is any indication, Tennessee is looking at a long day. However, the other game that comes to mind is the Standford/SC matchup in 07 after Harbaugh had basically called out Pete Carroll in the off season, kind of baiting him with this may best team college ever type of comments that SC fans didn't like. A couple of SC grad friends of mine were counting on a 50 to 60 point drubbing in the Coliseum, wringing their hands in Monty Burns fashion. That one didn't work out so well for SC. At any rate, I'm betting there's a pretty good chance Game Day will be on hand (or at least will be considering this game ... haven't checked see if there are any sweet matchups elsewhere), even if Tenn. isn't all that good this year. Tons of national interest, it seems, in this little feud. Got to give Kiffin credit, though. Recruits know who he is.

How is Spurrier not the #1 suspect in this case? He loves mental games and we all know how seriously he takes pre-season polls. You know he's sitting in his office checking out all the outrage on the internet about this and just chuckling away.

Spurrier's hatred of UT is well-documented (You can't spell "Citrus Bowl" without UT), and he isn't getting along with Meyer right now. He could piss off both of them with one vote. Maybe he decided that he is the king of developing wayward QB's and voted for Stephen Garcia.

The thing is, I don't see Spurrier doing something like this to Florida. This is the guy who still votes for Duke in the first top 25 ballot every year as a nod to the program that gave him his first D-1 head coaching job. Of course, since Spurrier doesn't care that much about these kind of preseason things it's possible that he just threw darts at pictures to make his picks. Or wrote in Duke's QB. It's Kiffin or it's someone that Florida doesn't play from the West division.

Is there anyway this can get better? I think the only way Lane Kiffen can become anymore of a douche bag is if goes to the highest building on Florida's campus and starts picking off students "Higher Learning" style.

Can't remember exactly what he did, but I do remember the story when Al Davis (of the Raiders) said that Lane Kiffin will not only ruin the football program at Tenn, but the entire University. There's a Youtube Al Davis press conference from when he fired Kiffin.

By some scary MMA guy. Or Butterbean. Somebody needs to put together one of those silly internet things where he gets a punch in the kisser every time you click the mouse, with a little girly sound effect when he gets it.

Kiffin has done. He is a jackass, but I can't hate him too much if he keeps pissing on Meyer and Tebow. I hope UT beats UF because Tim Tebow decides to try to play like a traditional QB to lift the "not a real QB" label and ends up throwing 10 interceptions.

For Various Reasons these SEC coaches are unpopular: Saban: -for leaving for the NFL and then returning to coach a LSU rival. Also used the slur coonass onetime before a press conference. -MSU doesnt like him. -Hall of Fame coach Don Shula responded, "What other conclusion can you draw? The guy likes to hear himself talk and then doesn't follow up on what he says." Petrino: -job hopping dbag -left the ATL Falcons mid-season Spurrier: -loved running up the score at FL -clearly thinks very very highly of himself -generally looks like a whiner on the sidelines Kiffin: -for all the reasons contained in this thread Houston Nutt -left arKANSAS under a lot of scrutiny -now coaches a rival -his first name is Houston, and his last name is Nutt, this bothers at least me.
