OT: Kahlil Mckenzie is a monster
This is Tennessee freshman DT Kahlil Mckenzie:
I know this isn't related to Michigan, but his 1-on-1 vines are so ridiculous I just had to share:

Tennessee also has another 5* DT in the same class, and two really good upperclassman DEs. Their D-line could be scary this year.

Maybe I am just a hater, though I usually tend to not be. But, I see that he does well in the videos but a lot of that is the other player. The one guy literally takes a half step back, looks at him, lets him get three steps, and then half steps at him. At which point McKenzie just kind of pushes him away. Another the OL footing is so bad, I just don't even know what to say. The other the guy leans way too far forward into him.
I guess I'm just saying that a lot of those videos seemed to show a lot of things to OL were doing wrong against a good DL. I do believe this guy will make it to the NFL, if he stays healthy. But I don't think he's going to be as dominant this year as most people think. College lineman are not going to play him like these recruits who need a lot of work on technique.

Wayyyy OT

This is a sports blog and we're talking about a football player playing football. He just happens to play for a team outside our conference. Not to mention, there's a small possibility we play them in a bowl game. It's not "Wayyyy OT".

I'm not being defensive, I honestly don't care how it's labeled. It doesn't change anything. I just stated the reasons why it wasn't "Wayyy OT", which would be reserved for say, a thread on Kermit and Miss Piggy breaking up. Even threads on baseball are simply labeled "OT" or not at all. And like I said, Michigan football could play them.

He is a very impressive part of Tennessee's 48 person class.

He was all about that bass. I looked him up in the game program and he was listed at 6'2" 340.

There are a few defensive linemen of similar scale, if you will, floating about college football. I believe Arkansas has (had?) DeMarcus Hodge, who was 6'1" and just a little south of 350 pounds. Arizona State had someone on their defensive line who was 6'3" and in the 380-ish range too, I believe. Most of the good examples of enormous human beings in football that I can think of tend to be offensive linemen though.

Talk about having tree trunks.
but you know with DL it's the big ass...I want a shot of McKenzie from behind.
I don't see the problem...
I bet he has a lot of trouble finding pants that fit. Poor fella.

Being that fat is not good for a long lifespan. Drop the weight after football.

Looks like he has a decent core. He'll be aight.

I wonder who those kids are he is going against if you click through the link. He is destroying people there but I can't imagine those kids are 5 star O-line prospects. However, if they are...
August 6th, 2015 at 11:35 AM ^
Here are few people he destroyed:
Alabama's Richie Petitbon 4* #5 OG
Ohio St.'s Matt Burrell 4* #7 OG
ND's Tristen Hoge 4* #1 C

Read a story where he attended a camp this summer and won some type of award. 9ers guard Mike Iupati was on hand to present him the award and said "See ya in the league in three years."

My advice to the OL assigned to him would be to go low and hope he trips over you.
