Top 100 2021 CB Ceyair Wright now plans to visit along with Top 5 2022 CB Domani Jackson and JJ McCarthy and others are assumed to join. The Wisconsin game looks like it will be a huge weekend for recruiting. Hopefully Benny stops by so we can close the deal there too.

Maybe RB, WR, QB and their most impactful players on D?  (Baun and Orr were NFL draft picks at LB from UW last year.)  Not as big a deal given UW history but they also probably lost their "best" OL.

Seem to me that if M can avoid getting dominated at the DT position we should have a great chance to win.

To the points above..

1. Eventually UW will not have a "plug and play" superstar RB -- good chance this is the year.  The FR from New Jersey, Berger, was highly rated but it seemed strange to me that none of PSU, M or OSU (seemingly) pushed too hard for him.  UW beat out Rutgers and MSU for him at the end of the cycle.

2. WR - Now graduated Cephus was by far their best receiver - noted as really the ONLY receiver that could get separation for UW last year.  Ronnie Bell had more yards and about the same # of catches in 2019 as the entirety of the returning UW WR corps.

3.  QB -- Coan out with injury -- how long?? - probably thru the M game or at least he will not be 100%.  Now-starter Mertz was highly rated** as a recruit but you have to wonder why an unspectacular-but-steady Coan was tapped to be starter again this year.  (**for comparison Brandon Peters was #61 overall in 2016, Mertz was #60 in 2019)

4. LB - The 3-4 defense (I believe) is a very LB reliant system for both tackles and pass-rush.  While Wisconsin just does seem to reload (despite player rankings) you have to assume a bit of a short-term drop off in production when losing two NFL-level leaders from that position.

TLDR - UW could very well have some holes this year - particularly on Offense.  With that OL I doubt they would ever be "bad" but without play-makers they could have a pretty firm ceiling/

This sounds like a great thing happening in a time of no official visits!  I really like that these guys are interested enough to come on their own dime.  Hopefully, Benny and Edwards will join the party...
