SB on BTN+. Attendance is brutal at the Baseball game just looking over the outfield wall on BTN+. There may be 6 people there.

BTN+ is a Joke. If other sports are like gymnastics they don't even have audio with it. I can't imagine they are selling it to many people.

Anyone else have a good experience with it??

They never broadcast a Michigan home Baseball or Softball game without audio. Usually it's the WCBN audio. They just gotta work on getting a student U team for W Gym and Lacrosse for every home game.

Michigan is ranked higher in the RPI right now (#55) than they have been in years.  The crazy thing is that they are only the 8th highest rated team in the B1G:

#17 Nebraska
#18 Maryland
#22 Ohio State
#25 Illinois
#27 Iowa
#35 Michigan State
#47 Indiana
#55 Michigan

Basically anything in the top 30 guarantees you an at large bid and anything in the top 60 or so gets you "under consideration."  If this holds up, the B1G will have 5 or 6 teams in the NCAA baseball tournament--they have never had more than three, ever.  That RPI change they made last year (making road wins more valuable, and road losses less costly) has helped the northern schools considerably.

Obviously there is a lot of baseball to be played, but if Michigan can build on its recent winning ways (8 wins in the 10 games since the first home game), and pull off a few upsets in May, the Big Ten is finally strong enough that Michigan could easily find themselves in the NCAA tournament even if they don't win the conference.   They need to take care of business against Penn State, Purdue and Minnesota over the next 3 weekends, and a win next Tuesday at Comerica Park over Michigan State would be huge.

Haylie Wagner threw a 1-hitter on her birthday. She knew that one EMU hit--HR--was a gift by her facial expression on the stream.

Michigan then immediately responded in the inning by taking a 3-1 lead after 1. That was that from there. Michigan chased EMU's starting pitcher after Michigan plated 9 against her.

When EMU had a pitching change, their new pitcher walked 3 straight resulting in a Michigan run due to the bases being loaded.

Next up is Rutgers on the road this weekend at their place.

Baseball FINALLY snapped the long losing streak against rival (it's a rivalry, folks) EMU that went back to 2011.

the OP.  Although the latest manifestation of Voltron seems to disagree, many of us appreciate scores and/or open threads dedicated to other U of M sports teams and their dedicated student-athletes.
