Yeah I saw him!

Anyway back on topic I agree with you love the play calling, would like to see Gardner actually get a pass in...which might be soon.

I love what Borges is doing today. On a side note, I also like seeing Countess making a big play as well as Campbell CRUSHING Minessota's QB. That was a nice play for him.

That Campbell crush was amazing. They had the camera angle... I thought he was going to come out of my TV and kill my couch.

Borges fan but if he calls plays like this every game maybe I will be.

2 things I am loving from the playcalling so far:
Short - Intermediate passes being called to get Denard comfortable
Lots more running with the running backs.
Granted it is Minnesota, but any time we can lessen the hits Denard takes and still move the ball I am happy.

Borges definitely has me hard today. I love how he is calling high percentage passes for Denard. I hope we see Devon throw in the second half.

Talk about ballsy...

Not that there is anything wrong with that!

to slide that in there.

How much whiskey has he sipped out of the Litlte Brown Jug through the years?
October 1st, 2011 at 1:43 PM ^
Has been the best playcalling so far this year.

I think we've had 5 RBs touch the ball already. Seems like everyone but Roundtree has gotten love!

impressed is the only logical word I can use here. He's allowing Denard to get comfortable passing and the new wrinkles he is adding has been fantastic. I am glad to have him and Mattison as our coordinators.

I went on record after the opener saying it was just cliche when people say coaches kept it vanilla. I apologize to this coaching staff for being utterly wrong. They did in fact have MUCH more up their sleeves than I thought.
I will not doubt them again.

Is it outstanding play calling or that most
plays appear to be good calls when they're run against a garbage Gopher team?

Everybody here needs to hold off on the circle jerk until this team shows something against MSU, Neb & OSU.

It probably seems better because we are completing so many of the passes. Michigan is tough today!

Al is IN THE ZONE. Minnesota has absolutely no clue at any point in time what is coming at them.

There are a lot if flags on Minnesota today! Not their day...Lol

The play calling was outstanding. Borges cracked open the playbook just a tiny bit more. I'm excited about the weeks to come.

Agreed loved the play calling as well.....the only question I have is in the 4th why not give the mop up carries to Cox and Shaw....especially with Shaw being a SR. and just curious on using Rawls and possibly burning his redshirt I know he was used against EMU but in Hokes press conference after he said that the didn't necessarily blow his redshirt where I'd say he safely used his redshirt up today....on a bright note of that though Rawls looked great running the ball

Both coordinators showed out today.

Borges. The success of the defense is more of a cumulative effect from good coaching all year.
Borges called a great game. Loved the diversity. Wish he was the Michigan OC back in Lloyd's day also.

I absolutely love the sprint draw. MSU gashed us with it over and over in the Braylonfest game and I've wanted to see us run it ever since. It's such a simple concept but super effective when you have a QB who's such a running threat.
