The Gabe King story gets weirder.
1. He's moving...to Eugene, Oregon.
2. There is definitely something not right about this recruitment. Just doesn't feel clean.

There will be other kids...who want to play for Michigan.

Losing out on both King and Olaniyan on consecutive days is not what we wanted to hear.
But, as Rich Rod says, you recruit until the final bell.
Maybe RR can cook up some more snake oil and lure some of these guys back.
Ultimately, there is no better recruiting tool than wins on the field. Take care of business there and they won't have any problems getting other kids interested in coming to Ann Arbor.

Not sure I'd count Olaniyan as a loss.

Not count him as a loss meaning his recruitment hasn't ended and his commitment isn't extremely solid or not a loss because he doesn't fit the system or is overrated?

Coaches weren't as high on him as everybody else was.

Does King have relatives in Oregon? If not, how was he able to afford moving 3,000 miles across the country and finding a new place to live?

Couldn't you say the same thing about Ricardo Miller?

also his Mom is an alum so i'm sure they can afford the move.

All M alumni are guaranteed to make 7-figure incomes by age 40.. I'm sure you read the money-back guarantee when you were admitted.

Did his mother go to Michigan-Ann Arbor or to UM-Flint? I'm not being derisive, I've just always been curious about it.

Um in what way are they similar besides moving to a college town?

I have posted a few things on Gabe King before and Ive emailed Brian with some tidbits.
Michigan was never really in it for King. He's a good kid and I hope he gets his excrement together...but I really, really wouldn't want to have to count on him doing that any time soon.
The guy who is really running the show is a guy named Otis Yelverton. He's a guy with strong ties to the track coach at NC A&T (an HBC school in Greensboro). The track coach at A&T has connections to the folks in Eugene and in Berkeley. And that is why there are three or four kids in central NC that have no interest in any of the ACC or SEC schools and are committing or leaning towards two schools 3,000 miles away.
And those "connections" are what you think they are. Yes, you should be suspicious.
Making matters worse with King...he has some behavioral issues that he needs to correct. I'm not saying he's a bad kid...I think he just has some really negative influences in his life. But he has done a couple of things that made some of the local schools withdraw their scholarship offers.
Don't worry about King. You were never going to get him and you'll be better off without him.

This is why Remene Austin went to Oregon a few years ago.

I know we have already have ken wilkins and jordan paskorz, but i'm not sure if they can be an instant impact defensive ends, are their any prospects that can step in right away if they commit/sign? Thoughts?
