NOT INSULTING.

A: There's not a draft on.

B: Nobody is stupid enough to somehow think that that infers Harris and Sims did somethign wrong.

C: If a player gets drafted or not, that's not a commentary on the school he played at.

I saw the mix up of names.  I stand by my original statement.  Do we really need a thread for this?  Maybe we should have one big stickied thread titled "Freep Fuckups".  It's alliterative, so there's some irony with headlines and such, and it will become the largest thread in MGoBlog history by 3:14pm tomorrow.

and ignoring the innocent name gaffe, headlines are not written by the writers. they are very often not written by the editors. they are instead written by page/copy editors who often hate their lives, the deadlines they are currently forced under and wish to self-amuse for the evening.

this is the equivalent of blaming a cabal of "haters" for the failures to get results, recruits, wins or performance from players.

oh wait.

So you're saying someone at the Freep decided, "Hey, I need some fun, I'll make up a headline where I switch the first and last names of these two guys!"

I mean, I don't know that's false, but it sure doesn't sound like something that someone would do on purpose unless they were twelve years old.

They STILL can't get drafted?  I don't believe that at all.  That would be one awesome player.  Or would it be two?  I'm so confused....
