Now my afternoon has to consist of constantly refreshing the front page in anticipation. Thanks a LOT... EDIT: Now my afternoon consists of watching that clip again and again, with his touchdown against WMU mixed in for good measure.

6.81 sec in the 60 meters converts to a 4.15 sec in the 40 yard dash. Of course, you can't make a direct conversion because you don't know if he got a quick start and was slower over the last 20 meters or got a slow start and sped up over the last 20 meters, but it's close enough... One of the UM engineering student on here wanna double check my math? I was only a lowly business major at a non-UM school. ;-)

At the gun, his speed is 0. To get to top speed, the first few dozen meters are all acceleration. He wouldn't hit top speed until at LEAST half-way through the race. Therefore, in a 60m race, the last 20 meters will always be the fastest, and his speed in the first 40 will be well below the total race average. It's roughly this: But don't worry, he's still hella fast.
